1. Off hand I don't know. It's pretty light, especially in comparison to my jazz and P basses. I'll weigh it later.
2. Bump for updated listing and pics of the head. More to come
3. This is a photo from Hoffnine, it's not complete (missing its handle) but it gives an idea. Better pics if the head next couple of days.
4. The chassis is being fitted into a head cabinet currently. I'll post pics a bit later once I have it back from www.hoffnine.co.uk
5. Need this gone. Yours shipped in the UK for £225
6. Thanks Grandad, ''tis a cracking instrument indeed. Very easy to play and a great neck. Now cheaper too
7. Bought a CIJ 62 Jazz from David. He provided loads of photographs and information and was very helpful throughout. Shipping from the Czech Republic was very reasonable and the bass arrived safely. It's a great bass and I'm very happy with it. David followed up after the sale with some useful words of advice. Highly recommended seller! Deal with confidence. Thanks David
8. Would there be more interest in this if I were to sell it with the flip top cab? Built from plans provided by Mark Gandenberger of Vintage Blue who builds these and built the cabs for the Heritage B15. Currently loaded with an eminence beta 15a
9. Here are some gut shots I should say this amp is based on this one http://ctgelectronics.weebly.com/custom-amplifier---fcn-51-b.html It's got cathode bias/fixed bias. EQ on one channel is pre the preamp and on the other is post. Has two speaker outs 4,8 and 16ohm switchable impedance and a preamp out. External bias pot. Lots of sounds to get your teeth into
10.
For a build like this you may need to list the actual parts used and show gut pics to illicit any sort of interest. Looks a tidy build!
Good shout. I'll get some gut shots up later
11. I'm happy to have this professionally built into a head cab if there is interest in it. Also happy to post sound samples or, if you want to hear yourself playing through it I can re-amp tracks through it. I have a 100% ebay record under jim50hertz an have been selling high ticket studio equipment on various forums for 15 years (notably Groupdiy). Best Jim
12. This is my Ampeg B15 Clone Head, built by Barry Vyse of Vyse Amps (Formerly Torres UK). Barry Vyse who built the amp worked for Marconi/Osram back in the day. He knows his stuff and literally wrote the book (Link https://www.amazon.c...Vyse/095391271X.) I should say this amp is based on this one http://ctgelectronic...--fcn-51-b.html and as such is pretty much the Heritage B15 in a custom package. It's mainly PTP with one small turret board. It's cathode bias and fixed bias, switchable. EQ on one channel is pre the preamp and on the other is post. Has two speaker outs 4,8 and 16ohm switchable impedance and a preamp out. External bias pot for the fixed bias position. Lots of sounds to get your teeth into and the amp is very quiet. This amp is massively versatile. It reminds me of a 5E3 in the sense of having a massive range of tones with minimum controls. Bump and grind on tap as you wind it up. The baxendall EQ is lovely. The cab was built using 18mm Baltic Birch by Tom at http://www.hoffnine.co.uk/ in black leather effect tolex at a cost of £130 and I've included a vinyl covering worth £40 from a local fabricator as well as Ampeg style stove knobs. I recorded a quick sloppy demo of it to give you an idea of the sounds. CIJ Jazz Bass into the B15 into ProTools (TI Flatwounds fingerstyle). https://soundcloud.c...wan/jazzbassf47 All the usual apologies for the sloppy playing etc. I'll do a P Bass version in the next couple of days and do some sounds with the amp wound up a bit and pushed into overdrive (mmmmmmhmmmmmm). If you want the sound of the bass without the drums in this example give me a shout. I've raised the price from my original listing in line with my outlay to build it into a head, minus about £70. Any questions PM.
13. Hi all For sale is a nice early 80's Matsumoku made Aria Pro II Cardinal series CSB-450 medium scale bass. Kim Deal apparently played a CSB-380, it's the Gigantic bass. The 380 is the bolt on neck version. Link to specs here http://www.matsumoku.org/models/ariaproii/bass/csb/csb.html Set neck, nice action, plays lovely. Got flatwounds on it. Some chips and buckle rash. Selling for silly money from Japan. I'm after £250 plus shipping. Best Jim
