You've obviously never heard Come out and play by Twisted Sister or The Last Command by WASP
That Twisted Sister album is admittedly terrible (the song title 'Be Chrool To Your Scuel' almost excuses it), but I agree with randythoades, The Last Command is good. Diff'rent strokes. Are you thinking of the album after that with Blackie dressed as a tiger on the cover, Inside The Electric Circus? That album makes Theatre Of Pain look like a masterpiece.
 2. My opinion doesn't really count as I wasn't even born in the 80s, but as somewhat of a 80s music aficionado, I've always thought this was the ultimate example of what 80s bass overkill sounds like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju_a2-Pve4g
 3. I'm 20 and have been into Crue and Saxon since my early teens, they still both have a following among 'the youth'. Listen to them with tongue firmly in cheek and they are fun with a capital F, something that is harder and harder to find nowadays. Great riffs as well. I agree with the consensus of the thread, TFFL and SATD are classics, but apart from two or three tracks I think Theatre Of Pain is one of the worst albums ever made by a mainstream artist. Heroin/coke speedballs, having your lead singer charged with manslaughter and rushed songwriting don't bode well for a great album.
 4. Apple Sourz Vomit Green custom finish? The guitarist is Nick Bowcott, the Guitar World writer. He's got Disney/cartoon stickers on his flying V, and an Anthrax t-shirt to show us where he stole the cliche from.
 5.
Potentially even more disturbing than Vince Neil and Motley Crue is my vivid and traumatic memory of Biff Byford and Saxon trying to crack the American market in the mid-80's with their own Hair Metal makeover . The image of those Barnsley' boys in skintight spandex with big poofs of tousled bleach blonde hair still gives me chills whenever I think about it . Take a look at the official video for " Ride Like The Wind" by Saxon on You Tube and I promise you , Biff's personal style in it will live with you for a long time to come .
Living proof that too much pie n' chips and skin tight spandex/bandanas do not mix. I always thought Grim Reaper were the worst offenders: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGvU4XXntMk
