1. Hello folk

I love Mesa gear and am currently on the hunt for a 1516be cab but have seen a R5410 and just wanting to hear an opinion of anyone who has ever owned one.

Just for reference- I would be running a GK 800RB through the cab: Bi-amping the 300w output into the 1x15 and the 100w output into the 4x10.. I was just thinking if all that power handling is wasted with such a low wattage bass head: the sound will be very weak, Right?

The 1516be seems more fulfilling for my needs as I 1. Want to bi-amp. and 2. Want a full range of sounds. ..And at only 450w the 800RB will push it but not too hard.

If you know of any other bi-amping cabs that work well with the 800RB please comment.

    Thanks for your time guys!

    Marty

  2. Do you mean RB?

..If so here is a PDF Manual that would of come with the amp- http://tcfurlong.com/wp-content/uploads/Gallien-Krueger-800RB-Bass-Amplifier-Head-Rental-Manual.pdf

    Hope this helps mate.

  3. In my daily travels I noticed a decent Micro Amp in the Banbury Cashcoverters..

£60 is a little steep but with a little barter you can grab your self an essential little addition to you pedal board.

For those not aware; The Micro Amp is a single knob line booster that puts all the "Umff" back in bass solos or for any time the bass needs a little more presence in a mix

Grab it while you can: (Saw this today folks)

Without truss rod, inquisitive as to how one would adjust the relief on the neck? Or don't you bother?
That good ol' graphite neck ain't half stiff! You'd be getting nowhere by putting a truss rod in.. Too taught! That's why when Modulus did decide to put truss rods into the necks it was some super fancy double truss system too manage the pressure and make it feel like adjusting regular wooden necks.. Modulus necks are never anything other than straight though, The lowest of actions are achieved.. Never a lot of strain under tight strings either- With a unique tone these really are worth it (At £770 It's more than worth it!)

Just out of curiosity, can you bi-amp that cab?
This is indeed the bi-ampable (stereo) version; obviously sending half your maximum watt input above to the 10"+2x6" and the other half to the fat 15"..I think the Maximum handling is roughly 450watt into the full-range (mono) input or Split between the two sections (bi-amp).. Hope it helps..

  6. To put all our minds at ease  ... I had an disappointing issue with a pedal I purchased from a BC'er and had to eventually get a refund. He wished to see the receipt so he could even refund the amount I paid to get the pedal back to him (whata' gent) ..For some unknown reason photos just won't loads in my PM's so this was my means of making sure I got all my money back! ..Glad to see some humour has sprung from such a frustrating ordeal..
