1. Thank you all again for the replies. We have quite a a few people to go through now! For the record, I never meant to spark debate or 'force beliefs down anyone's throat..' with this thread; as Thunderbird sort of / maybe suggests. I take the humour on this thread the same way I take it in real life; in one ear and out the other; I, too, have heard them all before; at least I think I have! I do think it a sign of some strange deep seated insecurity on the meat-eaters part; a knee jerk reaction to mock or joke but I've never spent too long researching this; perhaps food for thought? In the meantime, the jokes are fine with me. Also, someone suggested that this may be a spoof thread; I should say it's not. It is a genuine request for someone who shares, at least, some of the beliefs of the creators of the music. This isn't a function band or the like - nor are any of the songs specifically about vegetarianism; more just looking for like-minded people. That's not to say I / we get on with all vege's... I've met plenty (of course) and plenty of them are arses. But, never-the-less; I'd like for this music to come from people with similar hearts. As for being a tree-hugging, sandal wearing hippy... I couldn't be further from it. That stereotype is funny considering the people I know who are vege / vegan... however, I myself may have hugged some trees in my time: Junipers are my absolute favourite!!! EDIT TO ADD: This is a great forum and I'd never be put off with any banter. As well as the people who posted here, I had many PM's from others. So, at some point in the next few weeks, I hope to have this all set up. Thanks again
2. Bassclef is right; it's due to a political angle of the project specifically. There's a couple of people on a shortlist now but anyone should feel free to PM / send over any links or introductions.
3. Thank you all for your replies. I have had some enquiries and there's a couple of people who look to fit the bill, all being well! Thanks again for the replies and humour
4.
Mmm , that's food for thought. But , as I am more of an Atkins diet man I'm out ! Don't do diets either. Have you spoke to morrissey? I went for an audition many years ago; 'we're left wing' and Mr. Drums is a veggie' . Left wing? I was thinking mmmm chicken wings. I flew off after about half an hout. Good luck with the search
Thank you! My fingers are crossed.
5. Hi, a bit of an odd request - I am looking for a vegetarian bass player (and guitarist as it happens) to do some bits of session work in the North West (Manchester) area but over the web possibly considered. Paid work; music is quite experimental - think NIN; lots of atmosphere, would prefer someone with metal leanings but not essential. Please PM me here on BC. Thank you.
6. Hi all, This is my first time shipping a bass - and I cannot see how people are getting prices for shipping a bass around the £6 mark!? That seems astonishing. The cheapest I am finding is around £50! I've tried UPS / Interparcel, Parcelmonkey and many more. Am I missing something??? Generally, I am marking the dimensions as 5KG / 130 cm height / 50 cm wide / 40 cm length. Any tips would be appreciated... I am also waiting to hear from a friend who used to work for DHL to see if I can get a good price but no news as of now.
7. Bumpie! Still for sale despite many offers on eBay.
8. Still on at £499 or offers.
9. Price drop. This is worth over £600. Consider to be as new. No marks at all, no dings at all. Thanks
10.
You will get it taken off, there is a 34 hour bump rule. Just saying
Thank you, I didn't know that I will take that on board.
11. Hi Oliver, I am really looking for a sale rather than a trade. Thank you for the offer though!
12. *** looking for £450 - despite it saying £550 above (I cannot change this for some reason). Hello all, I am looking to sell my BTB 675. I have an older BTB 406 that is serving its purpose very well in the studio and so this one has to go. This is listed on eBay also and you can check my credentials as a seller on there. You can PM me for a link to the eBay listing. It was bought in for a specific project I was involved with and has seen around one hour of playing time for one song's recording. NO gigs - there are no marks on the Bass at all; NO dings, NO dents. Consider this 675 to be as new. It is so beautifully made that I have considered keeping it but I need to make way now and so this is going up for sale. This was bought only six weeks ago: it even has the plastic guide around the switch area. Features - Small shop precision, materials and sound, priced for the working player - 35-inch neck scale provides superior articulation - perfect for low tunings - Exclusively designed Bartolini® MK-2 pickups - Thru-neck construction - Deep cutaways allow effortless upper fret access This is pick-up only and I am based in Cheshire near Manchester Airport. I will consider sending but only if the circumstances are right. Contact me regarding this.
