  1. I had a similar hassle with my Epi Tbird. I tried attaching the strap to the neck plate but this caused the bass to roll forward. I finally bit the bullet and attached the strap into the body below where the neck fits and problem sorted. Never looked back.

  2. What a great idea!

I am the bassist in 'Still Whisky' a classic rock and blues band based in the Scottish Borders. We also do quite a few original tunes to boot.

  3. Cheers for that advice, I have got over the Bass aquiring syndrome, I just seem to be constantly inheriting Amps and Cabs this weather!
I have been looking about and it seems a friendly and great place for tips, advice and help.

  4. Hi basschat,

Just joined and thought I would say hi from the deepest darkest Scottish Borders. Been playing for a long time, 40 years! and from 1995 until 2010 didn't play at all. Anyway I am the Bass player for 'Still Whisky' a rock/blues/originals band based in the Scottish Borders. We are on Youtube/Reverbnation/FB all the usual spots.

Big fan of 60's/70's classic rock and blues and while not particularily influenced by anyone I do like Jack Bruce / Chris Squire / Roger Glover / Lemmy / Geezer Butler / Jaco etc.

Gear wise I have two Fender Jazz Basses, an Epiphone Thunderbird and a Shine SB 504. I use a Fender Bassman and Ashdown EVO 11 Mag 300 for sound.

    So, there you go.

    Take it easy dudes!

    Dougie
