1. Well for 2 or 3 you can use a SPDT Switch

Just need to have one that dose On/On/On or On/Off/On
So you would have say 12-15nF (0.012-0.015uF) from the Center pin (i am guessing this is a TONE SWITCH) and the other end of the Leg to Earth
And on the sides of the Switch you use a 8.2-10nF (0.0082-0.01uF) and a 33nF

This will give you a range of (20.2nF/23.2nF) - (12nF/15nF) - (45nF/48nF)
{dont forget that 5% error factor on each cap any way, IE there is no TRUE 47nF}
The On/Off/On Toggle is a LOT cheaper than a (On/on/on)

I need to find a dam good data base to upload circuits on to
<for now i got it in my Avatar image thing>
Basically lets you Select (12or15)+33 = 45or48nF, Middle will just be (12or15)nF and the other side will be (8.2or10)+(12or15)=(20.2-25)nF

2. Been looking at a Circuit that has Treb, Mid and Bass tone controls
the treb and bass is G&L style
but the Mid is 47nF in PAR with a 220K
then on to a 500k Pot
followed by a 1H (inductor or choke(i think thats another name but i more know it from Light Fittings)) 1 Henry
then a 5K resistor

I cant find a 1H, and I'm finding it hard enough to find a 0.5H (in series Inductors are summed)

3. Another one of my suggestions
becatuse Ive been trying to read up on all the different types of Bleeds that people like and wanting to HAVE THEM ALL
I put a Switch on the Jack Socket, and change the socket for a Stereo Socket

The Switch is a 1P2T ultra MINI Toggle
its wired in to the Middle ring of a Stereo Socket
with one side of the Switch wired to Earth and the other side wired to Pre Volume
As a Bleed is normally between Pre Volume and the Volume output
I also can make a Filter, as i had earth too

I had brought some chunky looking jack sockets, and figured i could fit a Small Cap and Resisters in that
and wired it in to the Jack Plug itself and the other side to a Mono

4. I guess i should of posted here

Normal Tone controls is just a Resister then a Cap
So make Each Cap to a Bit on a 4Bit binary switch
47,22,15,10nF for a Bass giving a range of 94-10nF
22,18,15,10nF for a Strat giving a range of 65-10nF
as caps when linked like this are SUMMED
and a Binary/Hex switch lets you go down more channels of the switch at one time
also can turn it off with 0 selected and then 15 other states

This is my First go at it with 47nF Paper and Oil Cap, 22/15/10nF Polyester
now i dont know if i wired it up right because i cant hear any difference :(

5. Dam this is BIG!!
Wonder if any one has done a good Bass Equalizer or has plans to do
Message me some how because i think my screams will get lost in this post

6. Two suggestions
a MegaTone version (1x2P2T (on/on/on) 1x2P2T (on/off/on) & 1x2P6T)

the first MegaTone36 was said to be too big (the designer is out there and a nice guy to talk to)
it also only had 11 Caps but to use the full range, added a 2P2T (on/off/on) and 2P2T because i didnt have a 1P12T that was any good
<but now brought a load of 1P12T so using that, but am still looking for a hard working 2P6T>
I cut down the resisters, and i had to change the caps on my version as i didnt have any 82 Caps
I used AC176 for the Transisters but i think Diodes will do, and thanks to the ID i now know why i brought the diodes for ;)

The Other side of a Circuit i hope will work, is a 4 Bit Tone Control
<i felt like i got spant on, on another site for talking about computers, so i was dam scared to say any thing>
I was looking around for a 1P12T switch and found a 4Bit Switch, knowing how caps work when put in Parrell (still cant spell it)
i figured Binary would be dam good, but what values well range from 100n-22nF i guess.
I had just brought a Old USSR 47nF cap and wanted to use that, but seem to mostly use Polyester
so 47nF Paper&Oil with 22nF, 15nF & 10nF (sum of 47nF) what will also give me a range 47, 37, 32, 25, 22, 15, 10 0nF just in Polyester
and with the Paper&Oil one in with it 94, 84, 79, 72, 69, 62 & 57nF
and should give a dam wide range to pick from with only 4 caps and 4bit switch
<now to find out if it works, and if it dose the Seller of the Switch is Happy to seller them, he has 800 of them, isnt me>

-------------------
Ever I F up (getting sound out!!) or i cant hear any tones :'(
finding it hard to hear any difference between any of the controls (well i can hear the vol)
So I might just screw down and let someone who can Play a bass hear any sounds...

7. I'm after the circuit diagram(s) for Leo fenders pre amps
Got two tone music man one
But am after the ones he made any L&G
And the three tone circuit at music man (don't know if Leo made it but I still world like a readable version)

At Fender

I say AT but i dont in truth know, just what People have posted and said.

8. Is there any way of Making your own Kind of Cap then, if the ones you like is Paper and Oil type
i know its adding more complex but i wonder if it should be cheaper

the biggest problem buying things, is if someone knows you need them, or demand
Example, Speakers for the PC £10
Speakers for a Car (cant tell the difference from the PC ones maybe no Connector) £40
a Resister + Cap for a bleed £5-10 but by them yourself dam lt lot less

9. Haa I put Pickup Type Name because i felt if i put Pickup Name someone would of said it looks like a Dave to me.

Any way, the middle guitar has a 3 Coil Pickup in a format i would call MusicMan (as they use it the most as far as i know of) I think that the 2 Coil version people ref to them as a MM4 (4 being the amount of strings its used for) SO what do i call one with 3 coils and WERE CAN I GET ONE .. Me me me.I

Come to think of it, the are some MusicMan type that have a Single Coil at the top, so what would you call them too

10. I did go for the ones from China Ebay Job (not nice looking) then i figured away around using the dam switch after buying and paying :'(

Glass Reed, im going to google, i think i know what they are.. like light fitting switches
well i couldnt think how to use them at this point in time :(

11. http://www.wellgainelectronics.com/oemrotaryswitch6p2t.aspx
Well im after a 6P2T or any thing above
Min 6P2T tho

Ive seen they do a Rotary version but cant find any on Ebay
finding Ebay a bit of a pain of late as i think they dont show all .. all the time

Toggle or Rotary, worse other types i guess
need to keep the price down as normal as just playing around with it at the moment
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2pc-Rotary-Switch-2-Wafers-6-Poles-4-Positions-SRRN243-/140353578483?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20adb9a5f3
This is my other op, at the moment 6P4T Rotary
going to email the company above to see costs of 1-2 items to the UK

There was this, but i dont like the look of it (Bulky) but the cost is there

12. never used the Diode bit of the Meter before (only for as continuity testing on some meters)
2nd Diode with the 914 has a reading of 840-837 dont know what that means personaly
<ive got a Transistor part on my meter too>
I looked up the IN914 and some photos and this is the sidewards 4 marking i have on mine

----------
The Germamium ones have a reading of 365, and i think it is a Germamium,
i was reading about Fuzz Pedals at one point and do recall wanting some of these

13. I dont understand the YEAR thing.(a dam long time) December time (would that be this Christmas Stress thing HAVING to buy gifts for people)

I think just have to go around and do a Face to Face, and if that dont work NAME HIM.
Prooving who really owns it after all this time
----
as all the Poop talk, i dont want to EVER pee off any of you lot,
But a Muck spreader and drive pass his house

14. I got two Diodes i dont have a clue what they are

one has no Markings and to me more looks like a FUSE

and the Other has a 4 (open on its side), then 91, and then has a 4 on its own
the 4 on its side photo is too Poor

15. I too would be interested how it goes if you do it. <wish you best of luck if you do>
(I do'avoid eBay Ireland myself, think I lost a lot of money one time, to the point thinking of going over there)

16. To get the Most out of some thing, with little work. Is good Engineering
Be it a Cap here or a Diode there.
Lot of guitars have been made on the cheap with electronics wise, and the bits of improvment you make to it to bring it to a level that you like is important.
<Old Commodore64 (CPU Less than 1Hz) used to be used in a programing text, to run a Nuke Power Plant, now you get PC/Laptops (2GHz even Quad Core) playing Cards {well I'm playing cards on it as well as the forum} its a waste of my laptops tallents>

17. 473J = 0.047uF (0.047x10^-6) the other ways to show it is 47nF (47x10^-9)
J means 5% of 47nF (2n35F) ever way Min 44n65F - 49n35F Max

XY5 = XuYF, XY4 = XY0nF, XY3 = XYnF, XY2 = XnYF, XY1 = XY0pF

Also worth remembering In parallel the Value is SUMMED together
and in Series its C = 1/((1/X)+(1/Y)) ... with XY being the Two Caps
So if you are missing some you can get them other ways around

18.
Good evening, AngelLaHash (or may I call you Angel..?)

My fault, I'm sure, but would you mind posting the music to this, on a standard stave..? It's the scansion, you see; I can't seem to get the rhythm right. Nice lyrics, though.
ahh right took me a while to figure out being sarky (and in that case you can call me SIR :P )
as im more in to Electronics than Playing (do think that people who play are dam good)

19. As in that talk bass link I suggested a on/off/on switch
Caps in parrell are summed up
So lowest value you use is always connected
Also cheaper and easy to work out values

100nF was nice deep the 47nF seems common
I was in the middle of making the megatone switch that is suggested in the like
Had talked to the maker, he explained changes he made too

I think I stopped because I didn't have some 150K ohms
Plus I was adding a Music man type of pickup to my p-bass
And it was getting repainted, just got put on hold
Need to pull my figure out as I got a little cousin wanting a guitar

4n7F with 39nF and 18nF, that will give you (43n7F, 4n7F, 22n7F) on a cheap on/off/on switch
[Caps do have a 5% leeway] plus the way I did it you only need 1P2T (on/off/on)
