BTW I'd love a bit of a jam, but fear that anything involving me might not be worth recording!

    Don't worry I'm sure I'm worse :)

oh balls, sorry, just realised I can't do the 17th

Sorry guys, if we want to use my place on a Saturday it's the 31st or August is out. Sundays I could do the 11th.

I shan't be offended if you stick with the original Burslem plan, and hopefully I'd be able to free up an hour to come and meet some BCers.

I'd like to keep it in August and at the studio sound like a really good idea.

I can do Sunday the 11th of August, can anyone else ?

If not we'll revert to the 17th of August at the Leopard :)

I think the 10th is out as we don't have a venue on available on that date.

I can't do the 10th but could make the 17th

I wonder if it might be worth doing it at my recording studio? It's a bit further out than Burslem at ST7 1PW but I have a huge collection of pedals, drum kit, and could always record a jam... Just a suggestion

I'm happy with that Cheddatom, how big is the studio?

    Hi guys

I'd love to come if I'm free - weekends are a bit busy but I'll see what I can do once there's some consensus. I'll bring some free BC lanyards with me for everyone. If I can't come, I'll post a box of them to be there instead (the box of lanyards will probably be just as interesting company lol)

    Cheers guys,

That would be a great, being a programmer, I loves my lanyards! :)

Maybe some T-Shirts to sell also?

  4. Really pleased that we're getting quite a bit of interest for the meet up :)

Let me know if you have suggestions for things to do on the day.

I've messaged both Rhythm Foundry and Academy of Sound, no reply as yet, I have a lesson this evening so I shall call into Academy of Sound and have a word with Dean at Rhythm Foundry.

  5. Glad were building up quite a bit of interested, I'm going to give it another few days then settle on a date.

I'm also thinking about contacting maybe https://www.theacademyofsound.co.uk/ to see if they want to come along, maybe bring few basses.

Also http://www.rhythmfoundry.co.uk/, they can plug there lesson and I know Dean is a Drummer, maybe we could get him to bust out some beats for us to jam to!

Well done for strarting to get this off the ground.

The trouble with weekdays is that a lot of us have day jobs.
You're right that weekends can also be tricky as people have commiments and gigs etc.
But all the bashes I have been to before have been on a Saturday afternoon.
I'd struggle to get over to Staffs on a weekday.

Cool, I'm happy to make this a Saturday afternoon thing! anyone else have any preference?

  7. I've spoken to the land lady at the Leopard and the function room is available to use with a little notice as there quite busy.

    http://www.burslem-leopard.co.uk/

Is there any preference on what day of the week is best for people? i.e weekday or weekend? I suppose the weekend maybe a little busy for people with families and also the venue.

As far as a date goes I think round about 3 - 4 weeks from now?

YAY! If you decide on a date, let us know so I can tweet it to our followers like I do for the other meetups and bashes. :)

    Thanks Bluejay that would awesome!

I haven't organised anything like this before, so I'm open to suggestions on how to proceed.

I think firstly we need to establish interested, I count 7 so far with including people I've spoke to offline.

Then I guess picking a venue would be next, I have The Leopard pub in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent in mind as I know the land lady and I'm sure she could accomodate us in the back room, plus she's a drummer and the food is excellent :)
