1. BUMP, some more interest but still here. I've had this further reduced on other sites so will update here with a FINAL final price drop. Crazy I know, maybe it's just impatience, but I really do have to have this sold by the end of the month! whoever gets it at this price is going to have one hell of a bass for the money, that's for sure!
2. Thanks guys! there have been multiple times I've wanted to withdraw this as it's just too good to sell, but it's just not possible atm. Might as well give this a final price drop as it could do with being shifted soon!
3. Bump! price drop and now have the certificate to go with the bass.
4. I'll be getting the certificate back from the previous owner ( known as Bassistist here on basschat ) later this week presumably. In hindsight I probably should have waited to put this up later as it's the only question I've been getting about the bass! Connor
5.
trade?
Not looking for trades on this one I'm afraid!
6. Up for sale is a 2007 Fender CS Relic Jazz Bass '64 in Olympic White (Closet Classic series) which I bought off here a few months back, but sadly have to let go of as I simply can't afford to keep it. Pictures can be found here! http://s100.photobuc...p%20Jazz%20Bass The bass is in great condition as far as relics go, it isn't as heavily relic'd as other custom shops i've seen and whatever tarnish there is to the finish looks and feels very natural, the checking is also a very nice touch! It really does feel like a bass that's been played for decades. Other than that, all the electronics work as they should and it sounds absolutely killer! I've had it set up with a low-medium action and slapped a set of Elixirs on there, which of course still sound like a brand new set of strings. I'll post the bass anywhere in the UK for £[s]1400[/s] [s]£[/s][s]1380[/s][s]£1300[/s]1200 (excluding paypal fees, but will also straight up accept 1200 via bank transfer so you can get it cheaper) stupidly cheap price for this bass, but it must go sadly! UPDATE: I now have the certificate of authenticity for the bass, pics below! Message me for any questions! cheers! 7. Moon make some absolute killer basses, this one looks and sounds amazing! might have to go for it if it's still here next week..
8. Thanks to everyone who has been interested, but this bass is now sold!
9. Hey guys! Got another bass up for sale, this time It's a Fender American Special P bass in Oly white (more of a cream if you ask me) with tort scratchplate. I'm a little reluctant to let this one go because I really like P basses for their tone, but for whatever reason I just can't get used to the feel of them! so I'm hoping I can give this to someone who can appreciate it more than me. I bought this bass brand new last year and had it set up with Hipshot HB7 tuners and a tort pickguard (as opposed to the stock black pickguard). I also put on some fender flatwounds (.045 .100) a few months back, which are starting to get nice and thumpy, but I would say they still sound pretty bright for flatwound strings. the sound from this bass is pretty huge! It pretty much nails the motown sound as you would expect from a P, but it's surprisingly versatile. I've used this bass for blues, jazz, reggae, funk, rock, punk and it does them all convincingly well! I can't say much on how it feels as I'm biased towards 'jazz' style basses, but overall I would say it's a very sturdy instrument. The neck is amazingly smooth and you're really able to dig in without the tone choking on you. I've had the action set fairly low without fret buzz and it could potentially be even lower, but either way it's certainly playable! As far as condition goes I can say that it's pretty much 'as new', no dings or scratches to be seen. It's probably spent most of it's time sitting in a gigbag and has only come out when I've needed it for various gigs and rehearsals. I'm mainly looking to sell but if anyone has a MIJ Jazz they'd be willing to trade then that could definitely tempt me I'd be willing to post this to anywhere in the UK for £520 but if you want to come and collect it then you could take it for £500! I'm based in North West London. Comes with a Fender deluxe padded gig bag. Thanks for Looking Connor
10. Been a member and lurker for a while now but never introduced myself, better late than never I suppose! I'm Connor, I started playing bass in 2009 after being influenced by players like Geddy Lee and Chris Squire (basically anything that was prog rock) and haven't put it down since. These days I would say I'm more inspired by Jazz and Funk but it's all cool! I've been in numerous cover bands over the years but right now I'm studying music in London. My main bass at the moment is a '98 Yamaha TRB 5 which I think is a keeper! great sound and build quality. I do love me some Japanese basses! Nice to meet you all!
11. LOVE japanese Fenders! Interested in trading for a 2012 USA Special pbass? Oly white finish/tort pickguard with hipshot tuners and fender flats.
