On a serious note though, Christian's basses tend to be very light yet produce a big tone.

Yeah...I'm a poser. Being the least photogenique person in the world causes me to pose whenever I'm in front of a camera!

Lol, thanks! It's Filippa K, a well known Swedish brand.

Its ok to be wrong, good construction is a good thing, just dont think it actually is the greatest influence upon tone.
It is. -
...Of these I believe the most important qualities are the woods, construction quality and pickups...
It sure is. Here are some videos to prove it:

Thanks!
Imagine this bass, but with a koa top covering thw whole body, and a slightly broader neck:

Spec update. Due to having problems with Wenge shrinking, causing unwanted stability issues - we've decided to go with purpleheart laminations in the neck instead.
(Spelling edit, WTF is wrong with me tonight? ) -
custom is good at all levels
the luthier combines nostalgia with pragmatism and playability
a basic custom bass
Yeah, I have connected with Christian (luthier) on so much more than a business plane. His attention to detail is second to none where most luthiers probably would compromise. I rank him as one of the top luthiers in the world, no wonder that his basses are gaining ground both in Sweden and in the rest of te world. I'm honoured to have him build build me my dream bass - and I will proudly play it on stage. -
Yeah, I have spec'd mine to be a bit dirtier sounding.

[shame on you if you don't know that quote ]
I will keep a running update of pics when available! -
I prefer 18 mm myself, good balance between fingering comfort and slap space!
-
String spacing on these?
-
Crazy deal for whoever got it!
-
36" scale? Bolt on or neck through?
-
Ooooooh....very shiny. Stuart's paint/finish jobs are second to none!
-
Best budget full spacing (19 mm) fiver you can get!
-
String spacing at the bridge?
-
Specs on the preamp and string spacing? Any sound clips available?
-
Oy!
Any news about this? -
Believe it or not, but this has FINALLY been sold!
This is hopefully the starting point of me getting a custom bass! -
Yeah....gotta change my nickname...registered here when I lived (quite miserably) in Stockholm. Now I'm back on the right side of the country (west coast).
Aaaaaaanyhow, any soundclips/youtube vids? Typical artist other than Mike Kroeger who uses such a bass? -
Oooooh....this I'd like....very much.
-
Are all the white spots on the back nicks/dings?
-
One day I will own one of these.
If you want a Flea bass, this is as good as they come! I would hit this if I hadn't made up my mind on a custom build!
Unicornbass Artist Master 5-string.

Wow guys, sorry for not replying, the email notification seems to not be working. Thanks for the kind words.
Oh and for the record (as a Swede) I think Swedish Chef is saying "bort bort bort" because he is throwing whatever he's got in his hands at the end of the theme. Bort means "away" in Swedish
I just got word that the neck is being glued as we speak!
"Tomten är inte i engelsk" should be "Tomten är inte engelsk" (Santa is not English). Otherwise it would mean "Santa is not in English".
