Can anyone remember what the term is that they use on Thomann for instruments that are damaged (I don't mean B-Stock, worse than that) and that they sell off cheap as chips - or should I say even cheaper than cheap as chips, but that have often proved to be playable?
Deko
They never seem to have now. Never when I check anyway. Used to get a bargain there.

Ordered on 5th, arrived today. Not too bad given the state of the planet...
Probably be a year before I even look at them though!
Not too bad at all! How does the quality look?
Cheers for the update 👍

Busy while there... Built B3K, Vintage Microtubes and EQD Sea Machine clones and a Dunwich designed N.E.W. Bass Overdrive from GCI in the last month or so. While I like the Darkglass thing in moderation, 2 on the board and an AO900 amp is a bit overkill, so I have an Aion Maelstrom kit coming to cover both B3K and Vintage territory. Modulation isn't my thing but the Sea Machine might hang around for a while.
REALLY like the Dunwich Bass Overdrive (Boss ODB-3 based). So much so I've ordered 3 other Dunwich clone PCBs from effects layouts for myself - Volt Thrower, ODB and Wizard Fuzz.
How long does it take for the PCB's from Effects Layouts to arrive from the States?

All I can say is that I bought some diMarzio model Ps for a bitsa and they were worth every penny. They go for about fifty quid second hand. Really nice pickup for a vintage P bass sound. Not all P bass pickups are the same, they were a long way different from the Steve Harris Seymour Duncan pups I had in a previous bass, so try to find some sound samples and see where your preference is.
Yup,
Can't go wrong with DiMarzio Model P's.If you wanna go really cheap the Entwistle PBXN's are very good bang for buck but are probably too aggressive and modern for what you require them for.
