Up for sale is my Overwater progress II 4 string bass. This is a stunning instrument with a neck profile that almost plays itself. It's finished in a tobacco burst high gloss lacquer which is in remarkable condition with a few songs but no chips and considering it was my main pub gigging bass fro 12 years indicated the care intake of my instruments. It's unusual construction as the bass was originally designed to be a fretless and as such has an ebony board, walnut body and Birdseye maple top. With 5 piece neck thru body construction. Controls are Vol, Pan, Tone, Tone. Hardware; Schiller M4 machines and schaller strap locks and Overwater cast and milled solid brass bridge. I'm not interested in swaps so please don't ask Tone is very woody and transparent, the EQ pre is very subtle and allows the sound of the bass tone heard and not just the circuit. Yes this is the original 1975 neck which has been repaired.

Overwater Progress Series I 5 string. I've owned this bass from new in 1988. 36" scale for a FULL low B fundamental with good tension. Maple wings with book matched rosewood facings, 5 piece laminated set neck, overwater humbuckers and active circuit, vol, pan, tone, tone. Jack and balanced xlr out. Schaller strap locks, schaller machine heads, cast and milled solid brass overwater bridge. Amazing clean and transparent sound. Beautiful tone of the combined woods not clouded by over coloured EQ. Immaculate condition. No case but I could find a generic case for postage. Location Whitley Bay.
