  1. Having A/B ed them over and over again to the best of my ability. And although the ibanez is a powerful super sleek tonal monster. The BB just has something that I like, and I can't put my finger on it. If in the future I want an active chameleon God of a bass, I will look no further than the ibanez. It is truly fantastic. But this time it was close but no cigar .................

  2. I'll let you know when I have visited the shop in the big bad city again. ;)

But, I have had one nice chap assure me that once turned up the ibby is all about quality sound. So it's down to a test. I have played fenders they just don't seem to be for me.

  3. Ha ha ha . That's my whole point. Having settled for the yam, I picked up my ibanez and I'd forgotten how good it felt and sounded. Therefore leading me to thinking that I need to try the 1200 again. Because they feel great( like my 300) but with steroids. So , I need to plug em both in again and turn them UP!!!!!

  4. Cool, I have played it. I also own a BBN 4 and a BBN 5. It's the comfort thing that is chipping away at me. My ibanez is so easy to play, but like I said, it's the tone of the new BB. I may have to go try the 1200 again. See if I missed out on something.

  5. I'm having a dilemma, I really cannot decide between an ibanez sr 1200 or a yamaha BB 1024x. They both have there own bonus points. The yamaha has that huge passive tone, but the ibanez has the comfort and the adaptability of tone. I have played both in the shop and was leaning towards the yamaha because of it's huge bottom end and simplicity, but now I am having second thoughts that I might miss a trick with the ibanez.

Your thoughts and advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Andy
