Here's my Trace Elliot Series 6 GP7 715S combo. And my cat.
Built in 1991 I think, owned by me since around 1995. Just bought myself a Markbass/Aguilar rig, so soon to be listed in the For Sale forum. (The amp, not the cat.)

The cat is awesome. Oh and a nice rig too. -
Sell the double bass in pieces
50 quid for the neck...
50 quid for the bridge...
50 quid for the body...
50 quid for the machine heads...
Lol
Then again...maybe not. -

Only the root, the rest is shapes.

Pretty much...
But I like shapes! -
okay okay.. i like no frills. jack connection is not bad right?
im starting out and would like to upgrade from my bedroom amp to something more bass-worthy (if there is such a thing)
im not looking at an 1000£+ rig but would like the most boom out of my buck if you like...
i like the idea of the 4x10 + head unit, sounds like its strong enough to push a cow over you know?
what can people suggest? for my budget im looking at around the £200 mark...(possible?)
thanks! -
donate!!
great community here, lots of people willing to help, expert advice, superb marketplace. lovely. -
bargain alert!!
i had the PB1000 not that long ago, great board!! gives you GAS!! -
Anyone used one of these before? I've had a read online about this little cab and it looks promising
But have you guys ever used or even owned one?
I'm looking at purchasing second hand and need some second/ third opinions and advice from the pros to ensure I get the best deal and don't have my pants pulled down!
-
Wow what a great thread. Lots of good tips and tricks here.
I'm now slightly better than a 'cab kicker' hah! -
Hah! These things are like gold bricks!!
I wanted one for ages but then I just got a small micro mixer... Does the same thing basically !
-
Some of the cheap stuff is crap and horrible though... C'mon.
Nothing wrong with behringer, the plasticy pedals are just less desirable than metal ones...
Never tried the Amps though! -
Play hyper music instead
I like that one... -
Understood but many famous people use a DS1 which I would never expect to pay £400 for!!!
-
Animato .. Is this the overpriced yellow dirt box from Japan?
What does it do differently from others ???? -
some heat should soften them up but it sounds like your cables have had it. treat yourself to some new ones!
-
OC2???
People love that one!!
I've never had one but they say its analog and ze besten! -
Yeah the micro mixer in lieu of a loop line selector pedal works great!
I have a soundlab mixer on my board ! -
HONK !
LOL
Brilliant -
Yeah.. Sort of. It's more complex than the NF1
unless my NS2 was shagged I dunno !
The NF1 just cuts the signal off as soon as the note falls below the set threshold... The NS2 kinda just made it quieter rather than chopping it off
... ?? -
I got it today !!! Yay
Had a quick play around with it
Really glitchy analog sounding chorus... Sounds a bit 'milky'
Will make a demo of it on YouTube when I get some more time -
Like with any high gain setup, it will almost always scream like a raep alarm
Noise gate solves much of it.
I use a boss NF1, really simple and effective.
Tried a noise suppressor NS2.. That was kinda crap. The noise was still there, it just made it quieter.
The noise gate just cuts it off dead -
Yeah I had the same issue with it. Obviously a behringer design flaw the rubber feet thing solved it though

Me?
Can't see
Mobile theme lol
