I bought this as a project but haven’t had the time to do and probably never will ..

   looks like it’s been stripped back to a natural finish..it’s had a EMG musicman style pickup fitted with stacked EQ ..I think the electrics need looking at ..also has hipshot USA tuners though one looks like 3/8 post whilst the others are all 1/2 post ..it does give a nice fat stingray sound ..

    Price does include postage but I will remove neck to keep the price down on postage..

  as I’ve stated this is PROJECT 

G&L L-2500 ..been my back up for a few months but another purchase forces sale ..had very little use ..no fret wear in good condition though was purchased with damage as shown in last picture..doesn’t effect playability at all and is a great looking bass with a huge array of sound options ..

That’s what I thought mate ..the std intell switch works fine with the head ..

Might be a silly question..anyone know the lead required to run this ..the standard switch is a std guitar lead but doesn’t work on the super intelligent ….doesn’t seem to specify anywhere which one I need ..I have the v2 alpha/omega amp .

I’d love to find my perfect bass !!..just as I think I’ve found her my head is turned ..I blame basschat 😜 ..It’s best I  don’t ad up how many I’ve had through the years and what I’ve spent ! I’m currently playing an Ibanez fan fret 5 string ! Don’t know for how long for though ..it does everything I need so there’s no reason to fallout of love with it 😬

Putting a feeler out on this bass.…

it started life as a schecter cv5 ..which was still a great bass with a massive array of tones ..this still has the neck and electronics as the original but now with a alder slab body ..it has a hipshot kickass bridge and schaller tuners ..it’s painted in nitros so it going to relic quite quickly and it’s fitted with dr black beauties ..weight is 4.7kg and is 35” scale

I was considering one of these in a 5 ..I did watch a YouTube review and they really slagged the electrics poor wiring unusable eq ect ..??which did put me off 

really fancied the lambo green 🙂..wondering if I should reconsider….can always send it back ..

I had a 5 string version and the truss rod snapped and the neck was beyond repair..I used the Bart’s on a thunderbird style bass which a local guitar luthier sorted for me ..I have it set up passive vvt which suites the thunderbird sound I wanted obviously doesn’t have the range of eq as before..did sell the preamp on here with a job lot of tuners and bridges ..you want me to try and track the purchases ..

Didn't come particularly well set up and had to file a little bump out of the topnut to stop some rattle but it's so nice to play now.

 

The EMG BTS preamp is great, I've tweaked it so the treble acts as a kind of high mid/treble boost and it gives it a really aggressive tone.

How’d you tweak the treble mate ..I find it far aggressive
