  1. Thanks for posting this. Long time fan of Living Colour and Doug Wimbish. I know Vernon Reid's playing style divide opinions in guitar circles, but I have long admired his very dark sound and unique approach. Love Muzz Skillings' playing on the first couple albums too.

Very peased but not surprised that they still sound so good. Unique band in the rock space.

  2. So long as it intonates correctly at the 12th fret, it personally wouldn't concern me in the slightest if intonation at the 24th was marginally out when measured with a tuner. In fact, given all the potential variables, I'd be surprised indeed if it happened to me perfect, but maybe that's just me?!!

None of that helps you at all, but what I'm saying is, I suppose, is that do you think the buyer's expectation is reasonable? It's good of you to be concerned, but you've no idea about their level of competence.

    Definitely check the string though!!

  3. To sort of expound on this, I do personally think "PAT" testing does have some value, but as preforming musicians, I think that by and large, we look after our gear. Now, an amp in a rehearsal room I would always treat with healthy caution

As others have alluded to, my biggest concern would always be the state of the venue's electrical installation!

  4. Before it came into use as a ' substitute' for rosewood, I'd always assumed pau ferro was a premium option, seeing it on Sadowskys and higher spec Fenders (such as SRV strat) etc.

I've never owned a bass with a pf board, but I from what I've heard suspect I would like it!

  5. Either what Lozz said, or try some cheaper pickups and see what you think? I put a Tonerider in the neck position of my 70s Jazz as getting a bit broke but wanted to replace the ole DiMarzio bridge pup someone had shoehorned in there.

I should qualify this by saying that I've never been shy of spending on gear.

I want expecting much, but it honestly sounds excellent.
