1.
Hi, is this bass still available?
Yes, it is.
2. Halloween hard rock show tonight... Come along! https://www.facebook.com/events/267103380097236/
3. Ernie Ball Musicman Sterling, Made in USA A wonderful bass, semi-transparent teal, ash body, maple neck with rosewood fretboard, ~9 lbs, 22 Frets, single humbucker (3-way switch: series/parallel/single), 3-band active EQ, bolt-on neck, 9V Battery. Comes with an original Musicman hard case. The bass looks great, it has with a few minor dings and a small scratch, pls see the photos. I bought this fantastic bass a few months ago but found a 2 HH version in the meantime which I prefer in a hard rock setting so this beauty has to go... More information on the USA made Sterling basses : http://www.music-man...s/sterling.html
4.
Out of interest - what is the difference between this premium and normal L-2500 tribute model?
The bass was sold as "G&L Tribute L-2500 Premium MN 3TS" by Session Music... Don't know what the difference is really. Have a look ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vANRNqb8Oro
5. Nice bass as described, well packed. Good communication and friendly contact. Great seller!
6. Here you can hear the bass , it was used to play all bass lines for that EP: https://soundcloud.com/uberkill/time-to-pay-the-devil?in=uberkill/sets/uberkill-ep
7. Ok, the original post was a little provocative... I certainly enjoy even very complex bass playing in the right places. My point is more that everyone seems to only appreciate complex lines nowadays. I think to play a simple bass line can often add more to a song than an overly complex one. So that's the simplicity appreciation thread!
8. Hi, Playing with my band at a number of venues all over London I always aim to see the other bands as well. No matter what the general vibe of the evening is , whether metal or indie rock, whether a pub or the 100 Club, I think there is an obvious trend to complexity in terms of bass playing.. There was a time when the Young Brothers explicitly looked for a bass player who played simple and steady root note lines. Then came the curse of the technical bass playing, even if in an indie garage band bassists want to sound like Jaco..! I think the bass should always compliment and support the song, this might mean complexity from time to time but simplicity is king! If you play more notes than the lead guitarist you play the wrong instrument, baby... Opinions? Cheers C
9.
Oh, if only this was the 4 string version, I'd have had it like a shot!
The 5 string is amazing as well...
10. Bought a Musicman Sterling. Very nice guy, all very easy going, very friendly and prompt responses. The bass arrived as advertised, well packed. Recommendation!

The relatively small scale of production further allows for more custom options than are possible on larger production lines.

15. Poor little thing on its way to ebay soon... can't manage the MusicMan GAS anymore but have to give away 1 bass (the usual rule to stay married)... Better rescue the beautiful bass and give it a new home! Excellent condition, electronics just checked by Charlie Chandler, amazing sound, great playability, what else could you wish for?!
16. Still here and still for sale or trade! £450 (+shipping) or trading. Looking for a Sterling by Music Man SB-14, Ray34, Ray34CA or a G&L SB-2.
17. Listen to Pesie and Asborygirl, get this awesome beauty!
18. Would consider a trade / part trade, looking for a SBMM SB-14, Ray34 or Ray34CA or a G&L SB-2.
19. Gibson Standard SG Bass, faded cherry finish. There is a little chip on the volume knob (see pic) but apart from that the bass is in exellent condition. The bass electronics have been checked by a professional luthier in Jan 2013 and the volume knob for the neck pickup (which was a bit scratchy) was replaced (invoice available). The bass is short scale and a dream to play and the fretboard is easily accessible even in the upper register. It has a very characteristic tone (listen to Cream, Free) ideal for rock, blues, jazz, soul or with a bit of distortion for hard rock and metal. Please note this is not the cheaper Epiphone version, this is a Gibson, made in USA 2008. The bass is strung with brand new D'Addario roundwounds, a set of (hardly used) flatwounds will come with the bass. The bass comes with a beautiful original Gibson case (see pictures). The retail price for a new Gibson SG Standard Faded is approx. GBP700, I'd like to sell the bass for GBP450. Could hand over the bass in South-West part of Greater London (Kingston, Richmond) or Central London. Happy to send the Gibson bass to you within the UK, courier fees will be around £25, sending to continental Europe upon request. Any questions, please let me know. Regards C
20. I have the D'Addario EXL170S (45-100) which are quite bright and easy to play but I would probably go for 50-105 next time. Regards C
21. The bass looks a bit strange when you see it just on its own, but for whatever reason it looks quite cool when played, have a look : http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZtwRIPulbKQ
