Hi all I'm not sure if it's already been posted but I just heard Wobble's new single with Horace Andy for the first time, I like it its definitely a more Wobble version with his busier bass style..

I'm due some new strings, currently have 5 string steel roundwounds 40-128 and thinking of getting Nickel and heavier gauge (45-130), mostly as D and G sound a bit thin. Or possibly I'd go for roundwound but I occasionally play funk/slap so ideally want something that can still do that (but most of the time it's for Reggae). Any particular recommendations?
I use Warwick red label Nickel rounds as they're cheap and good i.m.o.
But i use new fresh ones for funk and old worn in ones for reggae .

I'm reminded of 'Theme from a Summer Place' (I refrained from posting it)
😎
Listening to that it would make a good skatalites style tune 😃

Not sure of the weight of this but my Cort gb74 is the lightest solid body bass I've ever had ..just over 7lb

The Riddim before the above (48secs) sounds a bit like Yellowman 'I can't stand it'
Although probably a recycled riddim

It's been 9 months since Alain M. posted anything on YouTube, until yesterday that is:
Brilliant reggae bass tone as always from him.
The line at 58 secs with filter is Flabba from my favourite dub album ..
Not sure if it comes from and earlier tune maybe Wailing Souls off top of my head

I really like that version of
'I and I Time'
Anyone know who played the original riddim ?
I know he did stiff with the radics but I think that was later..
