1. Bought Martins SVT-CL with the SVT410HLF cab yesterday. Top bloke, totoally honest and wont mess you about.

Used it at practise last night ;) :D ;) ;) :) :brow:   ;)

It blew me away. Think I've found "The One", I will never need another amp.

    Cheers Martin.

  2. Yeah I see what you're saying. I wasn’t really having a dig, just trying to make the point that a 1mb pic isn’t that large and is increasingly becoming the norm. I agree with steve-norris in that people buying expensive items would want larger pics to see the finer details. I share an 8mb connection with 5 guys who download copious amounts of HD porn and I never really have a problem with opening large files off here, never takes more than 10 seconds...but then I'm of the orientation that would sacrifice a little time for higher fidelity in anything.

  3.
ps. The smiths are my marmite, Tar spead on toast on the streets of london?? not for me thank you.
haha fair doos, i wont hold it against you that you're wrong :)

cheers on the bass though - yeah i cant really believe no ones snapped it up yet. had quite a few interested but yet to do a deal on it

  4. Ok...reduced again (it's not going lower :))

Looking for a quickish sale. It's also listed in a few places locally so if you're thinking about it or are "tempted" then get in contact and we'll see about doing a deal.

    ta very much

  5.
MB1. :)
Could be that Smiths poster unerving prospective purchasers! ;)
    Have a bump!
haha, that's a good spot although I wont have anything bad said about The Smiths or Morrissey ;)

It’s totally the marmite syndrome with them, you either love it or hate it, no middle ground.

ps - bass is also advertised elsewhere as of last night so if you're interested then don't hang about, gimme a shout (that rhymes, i'm too cool  )

  6. I've been using the Pod XT Live for about 2 and a half years so pretty much since it came out. It's handy but I don't use 95% of the stuff on it. I only use 1 bank of sounds (choice of 4) and have edited these sounds very carefully to give exactly what I'm after. I don't use any of the crazy synth sounds because as you say, they are crap, and I use the pod in line with some other effects including a DigiTech Synth Wah pedal that has some great synth sounds as well as a LBM and Russian (black) Big Muff. I’ve had problems with it when I’ve been in the studio with the band though; buzzing from the DI output. Generally I think for what you're getting with the Pod it's great value for money - massive versitility. Got my eye on a few really good quality separates though (ZVex Woolley Mammoth, Aphex Bass Xciter, EH POG and a few others) so I may end up creating a pedal board and selling the Pod. New amp before that happens though.
BTW - would be interested to hear if anyone has had experience with the new X3 Live and how different it is to the Pod XT Live.

  7. Just finishing my 3rd year at Uni. Think I went a bit overkill with bringing equipment though cos as soon as the band i joined started gigging I brought up literally all my gear (a 300W 2x10 Trace combo with the choice of 2 cabs; 4x10 and 1x15, 4 basses, numourous effects, and recording gear). Didn't need a lot of it. To be honnest i could have got away with my main bass and the 2x10 combo. All the other stuff just ended up being a massive hassle when moving in and out of new accomodation. Storing that much gear in halls was crazy as well. I'd recomend just playing it by ear. If you can get away with it on the short term then just take 1 bass and a practise amp. Until you get gigging in a band you're not gonna need stacks of equipment, although it was fun to annoy the sh*t out of 300 other students when I came back to halls pissed at 4am and started playing some Mars Volta with the full amp set up...those were the days.

  8. Beautiful looking bass at a really good price, shame im skint. I've also got a thumb but its a brand new one so slightly different neck and bridge. The old wenge necks do feel amazing though, I've played a lot of Warwicks with bolt on wenge necks and they are nicer than the newer Ovangkol ones although these do still feel much nicer than the vast majority of mass produce bass necks out there.
    good luck with the sale

  9.
Awww that's a beaut and close to me too.
But I already have a ray, so have a bump on me!
    Good luck with the sale,

    Pete.
yeah cheers mate, i'm gonna be sad to see it go but at least it will be getting used i hope.
need the cash for a new amp, got an old Trace 2x10 300W combo with a 1x15 extension cab. It really kicks it out but looking to upgrade
