  2. Gloucestershire.....Stroud to be precise! I already have a 4x10 Neo 4ohm and wanted another, but cant afford new and they dont come up used very often, least not in 4 Ohm anyway. So this could be a happy compromise!
  3. Do you ever venture west at all didle? id have this off you if it wasn't for the 3 hour drive!
  4. Thanks for the welcomes It is getting easier ellie, just frustrates me when I hit bum notes when jamming, ha! All about knowing your instrument I guess and i'm sure it will come with time. Now to continue my hunt for another Jazz........Chistmas is just round the corner after all
  5. Some awesome rigs in here.. Very proud of mine and its quite staggering what comes out of a little 4 x 10 cab! Tempted to add another cab, whether I go with another 4 x 10 neo or 115 neo is the question i'm mulling over!
  6. Hey all Finally made the jump and signed up to join in with the banter! Long time reader and must say you have a great forum here, kudos to the site owners and mods A little bit on me... Long time guitar player! on and off from school days really. I also run a small PA hire company and engineer a few local bands. This is how I first picked up a bass guitar. Three years ago or so, one of the bands I worked for lost their bass player and had a host of gigs coming up, after several failed attempts at advertising for one, I volunteered to step in....Not looked back since, fully hooked and am now in two cover bands and playing hard.... Feel very confident on the bass (more so than I ever have done on guitar) and am enjoying playing in the covers bands. However, I am really keen to break away from covers and start doing originals, I want to become more creative and adlib with ease when jamming up the pub......something i'm struggling with at the mo. Quite tempted to get lessons to learn new tricks and learn the theory side of the bass, I think this will help greatly. Any tips or pointers from people who seemed to be stuck at a level would be great! Cheers Jim
