1. £950 or trade for a high end bass with a p/j config ( fender, lakland, sadowsky, g+l etc )
2. This is very much a feeler, this is a bass i'm incredibly reluctant to get rid of, sounds like absolutely nothing i've heard before but is unfortunately confined to bedroom playing since i've become more and more of a fender guy in recent years, condition is fantastic, the odd ding but on request more photos can be taken I'm more or less looking for a MIA fender for trade here, A fender P bass Deluxe, something with a P/J config, feel free to offer anything you have for trade, gibsons, G+L, lakland etc considered, i'd prefer to veer away from jazz basses however... weight is 9.5 Ibs Price sale will be straight £850 but would much prefer to trade, Cheers! http://imgur.com/a/jEdS0
3. Sorry for the relatively amateur question, I'm rather new to the world of amps and never really had any issues in the year I have been gigging. I've owned a markbass traveller 2x10 through a little mark 3 for about 9 months or so, over the last two nights my amp started to let out some obnoxious loud clicking sounds when I turned the low end past a certain level, made it more or less impossible to get a good tone on stage, is this a common problem which can be easily rectified? Cheers!

6.
Some of my favourites: Rage Against the Machine Royal Blood Mad Capsule Markets. I'm the same at the minute, although I've started using Bandcamp to find new stuff, and have come across a lot of great music and gotten really into contempory noise/skater rock. METz is one and another FIDLAR
Already well into RATM but I'll give the others a try! Cheers
7. First post in a while but i've been stagnating a bit in finding new music, new bands and most importantly new bass players to take influence from. My tastes change fairly regularly but over the last couple of months i've been unable to find anything that particularly blew me away. Old favourites of mine include Rush, Extreme, Alter Bridge, anything Billy Sheehan has ever done and anything Riffy/Proggy really... If anyone can suggest any lesser known bands or bass players that match this kinda description ( Or anything else you think a Bass player would profit from ) I'd be most appreciative! Cheers!
8. Looking around the 500 mark so ideally something second hand or am I being far too optimistic? would a Warmoth build be too ambitious?
9. I'm thinking mabye start at the shallow end with an 8! Would love nothing better than a Hamer 12ver ( Jeff Ament Style ) but funds are low
10. After a newfound obsession for King's X and numerous relistens to Precence and Vs ( Pearl Jam ) i've developed insane GAS for a 8 string, some basic research yeilded choices spanning from Hagstrom ( short scale is a massive turn off ) and a few other brands i'm not otherwise keen on ( Esp, shecter, etc ). Warmoth seem to sell 8 string necks so would it be feasible to possibly attempt a build and stick one of these onto a loaded body adding in the necessary bridge? if so how would I be able to gage to compatibility of the parts? or would it be more cost-efficient and rewarding to wait to find something I like? Spector 8 strings look fantastic but I've yet to find any stockists and I'm not keen on importing from the states... Cheers!
11. This make of bass have always interested me and I've been having a serious urge to try one out for quite a while, unfortunately few places in the north east seem to stock them so I pretty much gave up on my search 6 months or so back., turns out today on a trip home from work I stumbled into a back alley guitar shop and see an L-2000 ( new ) for £420, asked the bloke if I could have a plug in and try and walked out with it 10 minutes later, possibly one of the best basses I've ever played and certainly the most tonally diverse, definitely reccomend!
12. Bit of an old topic but is the 9v brick still on offer?
13. Shifting it would be the hard part here, fleabay is seeming like the viable option Everytime I decide to part with it a single listen to heart of the sunrise puts me back to square one

15. I've owned a Rickenbacker 4003 for about 6-7 months now after playing a considerable number in shops I'd decided the playability and sound was exactly to my tastes, went to get one second hand relatively cheaply and after a couple of gigs I was questioning wether I'd made the right choice, the playability feels awful and I can't get a good tone at all, even through my GK rig which makes my Fenders sound fantastic, I just feel like i'm trying to force myself to like this bass because I've pined and saved up for it so long, would changing the pickups or installing a push/pull tone selection make much of a difference? I'm just wondering if Ric's aren't to my tastes any more or I've picked up a duff one. every time I come close to selling one I have a listen to Machine head or 2112 and sadden myself with what a Ric should sound like... Cheers!
16. Bump, Still available Had some nice trade offers i'm considering but still predominantly after a MM stingray or a G+L with cash adjustment if necessary A couple of photos on request from everyone of the wear, I can take more if I get any more interest, Price drop to 445 now, trades still preferred
