Hello Basschat. My name is Al Roberts. I am 27 years old, and have been playing the bass for more than thirteen years. I was born in County Durham, and now live in Newcastle. I am a veteran of the Newcastle music scene of the past few years, and have played with bands such as BERK, MASS, and ZADOK (see links below). I got into bass playing cos my hands are too big to play the guitar! To cut a long story short, I am currently in the process of selling everything I own to be with the woman I love in Germany (soppy I know). I was recommended BassChat by a friend as a means of selling my absolute pride and joy, my Fender Jazz. She's served me well in ZADOK over the past few years, but now it's time for me to start spending my time with a real woman. At the risk of blowing my own trumpet, I am a highly accomplished bass player, and spent many years playing for hours every day (listen to Zadok's Unit of Judo EP for evidence of my abilities), but now I feel it is time for a new challenge.
