The neck was just sold, so the loaded body is still available.

Are you able to record any sound samples? Or can you say what it sounds similar to? With all those options, do you reckon it's a slightly more tame G&L L2000?
A G&L L2000 would come close, sound- and optionwise, although the Barts do have they own character.
You could say; in single mode it's like a jazz, in parallel mode it's like a precision and serial mode a precision on steroids.

Nice bass. 👍
I was curious if the bass was inspired by Jeff Berlin's old instrument? I know his was a little different, especially in relation to the positioning of the pickups, but just thought there might be a connection.
I did not build it myself, but indeed the position of the pickups is different than Jeff Berlin's bass.

Picture of the body routing, new wood was used to fill the original big gap.

Thanks for the comments. 😊

No, these are not thunderbuckers. But they sound really awesome,

I don't, but will make a picture tomorrow.

I bought Will's P bass, and everything went smooth as silk. Will is a great guy and a real asset to the BC community.
Great comms, very well packed, I really recommend him if you want to buy or trade. Thanks again, Will

Beautiful bass, but is the colour of the headstock different than the body?
-
What can you tell about the body? You mention "true 1960's", but what year exactly? The bridge belongs to the body? What's the neck plate serial number?
And do you have a picture without the bridge installed? Weight of the body? Thanks.

What's the weight please?
-
So a American Traditional it is. Just reacted because the neck pocket stamps are similar to a mex body, no ts access on the body and different bridge.
My apologies and GLWTS.

If this was a 1999 usa body, it should have string through body ferrules, also the bridge is a non-fender.
Solid bodies without string through body were from 1993 or older.
Also the pickguard should have a cut out for the truss rod.
Looks like this is a fender mex body.

Indeed, the circuit is passive, but installing a preamp is easier having this battery box already installed.
Pickups output level is equal to standard jazz and/or precision pickups.
