once I get sweaty I have to keep adjusting them to stop them falling out.

Try the Sonicfoam tips linked above. I had the same issue and in my case going up a size to the 14mm tips worked really well.

  2. I preferred the KZ AS10 over the KZ ZS10 for bass and the general mix. I have tried loads of replacement foam tips but the best ones by far in my opinion are these, they fit and stay in place better:

I had been looking for some slightly larger tips that nobody else produced, and the Sonicfoam ones were perfect for me.

  3. I got my Baby Sumo after I bought my HX Stomp to do exactly what you're thinking about. It's been a great power amp. I did think for a while that maybe I should have got the slightly more powerful 1000W Sumo because I was used to having a 900W Genz Benz Streamliner behind me, but over time that hasn't been the issue I thought it might be. But if I was to buy another one it'd be the 1000W Sumo just for the extra headroom.

  4. I did some before & after clips so I could better judge the difference. If there's a difference it's maybe 1.5 to 2Db to my ears. But that could be the low end on the Fender making it seem louder. And of course, the clips were recorded an hour apart. I'm confident that my playing dynamics are pretty consistent but that could also affect volume here. Regardless of the variables you can hear the tonal difference is subtle.

There are 8 seconds of silence at the start of the Fender clip, 5 at the start of the Creamery, I have no idea why I did that. Left side clip is Fender. Right side clip is Creamery.

  5. I got a 74P pick up earlier this year. I already had a Fender Pure Vintage 63 (which I really rate) in my Jaguar SS, but I was looking for something with a slightly tighter low end. After coming across Creamery on the interweb I took a punt on the 74P. Delivery took a few weeks but the wait was totally worth it. The pick up is exactly what I was looking for and now lives in the Jaguar.

  6. Here's the Noble preset.

Noble is always on. What's going on in the preset:

Stomp mode. FS1 is octave down on the parallel path, so it's always clean. FS2 is chorus. FS3 increases the ammount of octave/chorus in the mix.

Snapshot mode. Snap1 is clean, no effect. Snap 2 is LA2A compressor (Stomp mode FS3 also increases compression ratio), Snap 3 is FX loop L.

I have a COG Grand Tarkin in my FX loop Left for drive & dirt. You could use any external pedal you have here, or just put in a dirt/distortion block in it's place.

The FS3 mix increase will affect Octave, Chorus and Compression at the same time. I only use FS3 to make single effects wetter, for me it doesn't work well on multiple effects at once.

I have a Disaster Area Midi Baby switcher so I can flip between Stomp mode and Snapshot mode, I do this a lot, selecting a Snapshot then adding effects in Stomp mode if needed.

The EQ block at the end of the chain is for fine tuning the overall sound. Here I have a 2dB 90hz lift, and my standard 50Hz HPF and 5KHz LPF that I use everywhere.

Whenever chorus (in Stomp mode) or distortion (in Snapshot mode) is being used I can add in clean octave down (in Stomp mode).

I have a near identical copy of this preset where I took out the chorus and replaced it with an envelope filter, FS3 giving me two flavours of filter too.

Did you run it through an amp model as well or just straight out?

No amp, just the Regal. I’ve tried an IR after it at home and it sounded ok but on gigs its awesome by itself.
I have tried it with an amp model but I thought it wasn’t great.
    I’ve just done tonight’s rock band 1st set and I’m still chuffed with it. I’m playing a Retrovibe 51P short scale (+Lollar p/up) ;)

I’ll post the preset when I’m home if anybody wants it.

  8. I tried the Regal the other day and wasn't impressed. Until it dawned on me afterwards that I had dropped it into an existing preset with amp, IR & EQ running. As the Noble is just a DI, I put the Regal into an empty preset last night and with minimal tweaking of it's EQ it sounded really good. I like it a lot.

I've A/B'd it against my favourite Bassman presets and it holds it's own easily. It just sounds drier as it's a modelled DI rather than my livelier Bassman presets which have more of an amp & cab feel to them.

I can see myself using this lots.
