I'm also a member of the F1 sold it/ bought another soon after club

Such punchy amps, if that's your thing

I hope I don't join this club!

I do like this amp, but it's not what I am after at all. I like grit and gain, and while this does take pedals nicely, I think it's too neutral for me.

Whats the difference between this and lets say a LMII / LMIII / Big Bang?

Unfortunately, I do not know. Perhaps someone else can chime in!

  4. I have no idea unfortunately. Carvin are semi custom instruments made in the US, but for folk in the UK, we get massively shafted on buying them brand new (like 100%+ price increase in some cases!). I bought this one second hand years ago.

Postage would be around £20. It'd go in the hardcase and I'd nip down to the guitar shop to get a cardboard box to wrap it up in.

  5. I'm putting my beloved Carvin XB76 6 string neck through bass for sale. It weighs a lot compared to my Dingwall and I much prefer that over the Carvin; not to say Carvin is a bad bass by any means.

There is a chip on the back of the neck as pictured, this does not hinder playability nor indicate structural weakness in the neck.

    £600 O.N.O.

Comes with Carvin hardcase and leather strap as pictured.

Recently been set up by Martin at http://www.axeman-guitars.co.uk/.

I'm based in Edinburgh but I can meet in Edinburgh City Centre or Glasgow City Centre. If you require P&P, we can discuss a courier.

    Specs

BODY: Koa / Flamed Curly Koa (on top)
NECK: Canadian Hard Rock Maple / 2 Graphite Truss Rods
    FRETBOARD: Ebony / Abalone Inlays
    BRIDGE: Hipshot
PICKUPS: H5OS Stacked Humbucker Neck, HB2 Bridge Humbucker
ELECTRONICS: 3 Band Active/Passive electronics w/ master volume, pickup blend, active bass, mid, treble controls

  6. I have been eyeing up a fretless for a while for the lolz for the past few months. Not sure why, I just think it'd be cool to play around with one.

So one night, after getting a few drinks, I message bagsieblue and managed to sort something.

    ...

Group shot! Missing the Carvin though, it now lives at the studio. (The Carvin is an XB76, another 6er!)

Schecter Loomis C-7 NT, Warwick Corvette Proline, Ibanez S540 (oddly enough, also 1992) and a Dingwall ABZ6.

This is a 1992 Nirvana Black Warwick Corvette Proline 4 string bass, with an all Wenge neck. This is the first for many things such as: fretless, Warwick, flatwounds and 4 stringer (that was decent!). It's an absolute breeze to play but staying in tune is another matter. The neck is smooth as and the Wenge feels fantastic. The body has a bit of battle scar scratches on it which contributes a bit of character to the bass; the overall dark aesthetics of this bass is a nice change from my many maple instruments.

First real post on this forum that's not a sale one. Woohoo!
