1. VT Bass is new and new tuner...

Trying my best to settle again, the Broke Dick Peanut Gallery almost made it back on the board this evening but after a bit of playing around I think I prefer the 'clank' of the VT.

Been mighty tempted by a Dark Driving recently though... And a Blower Box...

    Urgh.

I use THIS stuff. It's never let me down!
I have used this stuff in the past, the grip side is super strong! Unfortunately it is stronger than the adhesive side, I pulled a pedal off and the tape was still stuck together on the board

  3. I got my VT Bass DI the other day, not had a huge amount of time to play with it but reckon I'll be running VT and Rat Tail pretty much all the time, kicking in the second distortion setting on the Rat to take it up a notch and the Bluebeard for melting faces.

Not the most subtle tone though ;)

  4. I have just ordered a VT Bass DI and hoping it's going to play well with my current boxes, a Fuzzrocious Rat Tail and a Bluebeard fuzz. I have high hopes for the VT/Rat combo as mentioned above. There's a cheap Rat Tail in 'Effects for sale' at the moment (not mine,) it's a popular Rat clone for us low end lovers :)

  5. At least 2 people on here may find this post strange, I previously sold an Aguilar Agro and a Wren & Cuff Phat Phuk B on the forum. After later regret I bought both again and as part of the great circle of life, my newer ones are now up for sale! Also, after some swithering, I have decided to put up my Fuzzrocious BDPG after being hit with major GAS.

[s]May live to regret this one as the pedal is now discontinued and it's in an etched (The Fountain!) enclosure that was also a limited run. Great dirty preamp, does magic things to other pedals, I used it with dirt and fuzz and it's great! It's got velcro on the bottom but otherwise as I got it direct from Fuzzrocious, it does have a fairly DIY look to it though and there are some black marks that must have been from the etching process. Reluctant sale but not using it in my current set up and want to make another purchase, unfortunately it's 'one in, one out' for me just now![/s]

[s]This one stings a bit, I really love this pedal but the second distortion footswitch on my Rat Tail provides a very similar effect (not as nice but too close to justify the extra pedal!) Amazing dirty boost pedal in box with instructions and warranty. One small lump on the edge just right of the knob, not sure what caused that as it was there when I got it (again from basschat) and velcro on bottom. Otherwise it is in extremely good condition. I have not altered the internal trim pot. Sounds amazing and the sparkly pink finish is amazing!

    Aguilar Agro £SOLD (UK)

[s]First up, Aguilar Agro distortion pedal. Sounds great, good demo video can be found here. Mine is boxed with instructions and in very good condition, a few light scuffs and marks on the case from previous owner (bought here on basschat) and some minor blemishes on the front design, nothing drastic though and it works well. This is the older model with the larger lip along the top and bottom.

[s]Funds are going to pay off another purchase and towards a VT Bass DI, so if you have one of those I'd be up for a trade but otherwise cash only.[/s] New pedal on the way so looking to balance the books with some cash now. Can take Paypal but would prefer bank transfer if possible. Any questions please ask :)

  6.
Thanks man, Crusades have broken up but we're currently working on something in a similar vein. I see youre from Dundee. Have you heard Fat Goth? Pretty sure their bassist uses a Rusty Box and his tone is quality.
It was Fat Goth I was had in mind, great tones and suits it so well! :)

  7. I don't think the Rusty Box necessarily lacks bass, I meant more that it has that emphasis on upper mid grittiness. You're right though, perhaps that can all be changed with the EQ, I've not had the hands on. It really seems to do that one thing really well though.

A friend of mine uses one with his band (mostly as a boost but the heads he runs have that same kind of tone) and it really does sound awesome, so maybe your band would suit that too! I was pretty wiped out last night, a better question would have been what kind of music do you play, not what effects you use
