Just picked up a mute kit from my local music store. I'm guessing musicman must have them back in stock : ) so should be easy to order direct from them now? I hope this one I've got fits ?

I've been after a full mute kit for a 1979 Sabre for a few months now. A local music store tried to order one for me from Musicman uk but they didn't have any. I've since spoken to music friends in the US and apparently the Sabre mute kit is different to a Stingray? So might just do a diy thing somehow? Or possibly butcher a Stingray mute kit? I think the US is possibly the only place you can get them?

Wal Mk3 5 string fretless on this track !

I've owned this amp one for I think about 18months now and I can never see me buying another amp again : ) From Wal basses to Fenders it always amazes me how it sounds.

Just got a new Amp One today & have been playing around with it at home for the past hour or so ! Two things !

1. OMG it's impossible how this thing sounds it's utterly amazing ! ! !

2. I cannot make it sound sh*te in the slightest ! ! !

If Dr Who ever made a bass combo based on the Tardis this is what it would sound like : ) Just wow !

Anymore news on Egypt basses returning ?

Ill probably end up thinking the same too :-? I'd keep it but space is a premium at home now ! When this goes I have one more little amp I have to sell : ( a SWR Baby Baby Blue combo which is also a great amp !

It is an amazing amp ! I'm sure you wouldn't find one in as new condition anywhere !
I remember buying this amp from the guy in sound control I think his name was Paul ? He offered me a vintage 60's precision bass from his personal collection too for next to nothing, I turned him down what a fool, what was I thinking lol. I remember him saying there wasn't too many Buster's imported into the UK ?

I just wish I knew where I put the instructions ? Arr well

Have owned this from new and was bought from Sound Control in Glasgow many years ago.
It's never done a gig and has had very little use at home too ! So in almost new condition with all its original valves !

You could call it a closet classic i guess !

Comes with the EQ footswitch, footswitch cable & instructions.

Killer valve bass tone !

Hi Karnophile its taken me 8 months to reply lol what a guy i am lol. Yeah i think it was the Nefertiti model really cool bass ! I got it from Sound Control Glasgow but it was when it wasnt on Jamaica Street . Was it Salt markets could that be right ? Anyhow at the time they had about 4 or 5 colours to choose of the same bass & i took a sparkaly blue one. I lived in Cumbria then & when i got back with the bass i found it to have really bad dead spots all over the neck so after a few days i trailed back up to Sound Contol & changed it for the Red one which was fantastic ! I often think about that bass, the neck was great with cuunky frets on a light brown fretboard. Arrr well i part exchanged it for a Status II & that was done in a shop called Monkey Business which was at the time some where in Kent ? Im sure there are some photos of it somewhere ? Funny the guitarist i play for a few years ago a fan managed to locate his old guitar which was lost from when he was a kid & presented him with it : ) If anyone was to do that for me id like it be be that Egypt bass but im sure that will never happen : (

They should bring them back !

I had one of there basses in the 80's it was a see through red color with Armstrong pickups on it i think ? Great bass i part=ex it for a Status series 2 at the time ! Wish i still had it, the shape was killer ! The sound was really thick and woody as i remember.
