Check out a band called Miloopa. Their bass player makes some sick sounds. Check out this track from around 3 mins in:

Good luck on getting a reply. I sent them a similar message a couple of months ago and never heard anything back.
to be honest.. why Akai dont make them anymore is unknown
But what is also unknown, is why another company dont make similar sounding one?! I mean come on.. if you cant beat them join them, so idk why another company hasnt made a 'clone' or a very similar sounding one without breaching copyright.
I suspect that no one has made a clone because it's a digital pedal, so all of the information is on the chip and difficult to get to. -
Please leave feedback here!
Cheers

Bought an Electro Harmonix Pulsar from Vince (Chenzo). I paid, he posted it within 12 hours, it arrived the next day! He also answered all of my questions helpfully and promptly. This is how all private sales should go down!
-
Yes please
-
Is the Pulsar the XO version or the massive old version?
-
Bought a Peavey Max Bass Preamp from TGEvans last week. Answered all my questions quickly and helpfully, preamp arrived well packaged and in great condition as described.
Thanks! -
My Corvette was 5 years (and 5 months) old when I bought her. She was already covered in small dents and scratches, and had a nasty case of buckle rash. I don't baby her, but at the same time I don't go out of my way to damage her.
-
I might pop along if I don't get bullied into doing something else that day. Put me down as a provisional attendee...
-
PM'ed.

Will you split the rig?
Also, is it definitely the 700rb-II? From the photo it looks like it isn't the 'II' version. -
Oh man, if this was more northern I'd be all over it...

Bought an OC-2 and a crazy self-oscillating DS-1 from Chris. Very easy to deal with, and very accomodating to my needs. He even agreed to come and meet me so that I could pick them up in person, and wrapped them up like birthday cake for me
Transaction could not have gone better! -
PM'ed about OC-2.
I use these.......
The top ones, they are off set so can accomodate pedals where the sockets are at different heights
They are EBS, available from Bernie Goodfellow
Tony
They look like the ones I've got. Don't remember them being EBS though... -
My local guitar shop from home sells them. I'm at uni in Leeds at the moment, but I've definitely got one of these hanging around at home that I got from my local.
EDIT: I've actually got it here in Leeds. I've got a straight one and an angled one. The straight one looks very slightly bigger than the one in your photo, but it is much smaller than the other ones posted. When two Boss pedals are plugged into each other, they are 19mm apart (the central barrel is 12mm long, so the jack sockets on the pedals make it up to 19mm).
I think they were about £2 each, maybe £2.50. If you let me know how many you need I can try and get hold of some, although it might take a week or two to get them to you. -
I just have to say, for the benefit of anyone who isn't sure - the filter is really very good. I'm quite tempted to buy it, and I've already got one! Not sure my gf would be too happy though...

Bought a Rocktron Black Cat Moan wah pedal from Dan. Very reasonable chap, and the item arrived very quickly and exactly as described and photographed. Would not hesitate to deal with him again.
Also, it has got my very first blue LED - and the rumours are true! My tone is much better now... -
At the moment I am using a Marshall Jackhammer (for low gain grit and grind) and a Little Big Muff (for OTT fuzz).
-
I prefer the Little Big Muff to the Russian Big Muff. I tried a Sovtek one but it just sounded too muddy with my bass and amp. The LBM sounded much better for my setup - more defined, and the low end is fine.
-
Overdrive, Delay and Wah towards the end. Possibly using the Whammy to get the nice smooth gliss' but that might also just be good technique.
Post your pedal board - Basschat style!!

First PYPB post! At the moment the wiring is very messy but this is basically a test setup. I intend to tidy it all up before it sees any real use with the band. I know it's not all boutique-ey like some of the boards on here, but it does what I need it to at the moment. I'm already thinking about switching out some pedals though, especially the Muff.

Signal Chain:
Bass > NS-2 > Tuner > Amp
[NS-2 Send] > LS-2 > [NS-2 Return]
[LS-2 Send A] > BSW > FM-4 > DS-1 > BF-2 > Pulsar > Time Machine > SMMwH Left > [LS-2 Return A]
[LS-2 Send B] > OC-2 > LBM > Q-Tron > PH-3 > SMMwH Right > [LS-2 Return B]
LS-2 is set to Mix A+B, so the two loops run in parallel for blending different sounds together.
