Alembic: quality, adjustability bit OTT looking player knows what hes doing.
Warwick: low mids, great in band settings
Jazz bass: work horse, simple, suits purpose
P bass: boring, boring looks, boring sound, boring bass lines
Rickenbackers, Rock n roll, ugly, unpleasent tone
Ibanez: does what its designed to do, good sound.
ACG: nice, innovative
Musicman: cool, aggressive, responsive -
I used to have one of these and it was great. Mine had a really upright kind of tone which didn't work for my band but great basses.

Ive been using George L's on my pedal board for about a year and haven't had any of the problems described. I felt the tone was improved from what i was using before and the tone sounds a lot more like my bass with nothing in the signal. What kind of music do you play? Also how many pedals are you running?

I tune to
ACGCF and i just use a 135 on the A string i like the clank and don't see any reason to go heavier. -
Im not anti Sheehan and i don't despise Mr big I just didn't like it. no offense meant I was just passing comment that i didn't personally like it.
Sorry continue with your discussion. -

Not really sure mate you can still adjust it with your finger. I guess you could glue an extra bit of plastic on. -
