1.
If you only have a small PA then you will have to set your levels of ALL instruments to the lowest sound level. This isn't such a bad isea as you might learn about dynamics and power rather than out and out volume. Too many people get volume over the ability to 'mix' sound so TOTALLY wrong.. IMO, You'll read it on this forum as well, when people talk about the volume of their bass rig instead of the ability of the bass EQ to cut through. Focus on upgrading your PA if the gigs justify it as 1st priority.
Totally agree with all people above. The reason is that the bass drum will drain the power from your amp as the beat coincides with the rhythm on your bass. If the drummer needs to be louder another option is for him to invest in a small powered bass bin with a basic mixer and leave that near his kit. I also agree with the previous comment about bass EQ. The problem is though, that although you can create a sound that cuts through by raising the mids and cutting the lows, it does not always agree with the sound you have in your head.
2. I have tried the Pandora as an effects unit to add some chorus between the bass and the bass amp. The manual indicates that you can use the unit like that. However I agree with previous comments that it is quite noisy. Any of the pre-set tones work much better with headphones rather than for use with an amp as well. Even for recording it is too hissy in my opinion. It is very good for practising.
3. This is something that happened to me with a Peavey speaker which had an aluminium dust cap. The vacuum technique worked fine. I also have use the pin technique on a PA speaker when the vacuum had no impact. You could leave it as it is as it will not affect the sound, but I guess it is the idea that it is dented.
4. You can buy Switchcleaner from Maplins. Cheers
5. Hi If you boost the eq but keep the pre amp level down so the led does not go into the red area, there should be no distortion at all. However, this depends on your output level and speaker cab. If you boost a lot of bass with maximum power on our amp, it is likely your speakers will complain. I seems like the eq section of the amp would need a service. I hope this helps.

SOLD

I have one of these basses with a natural ash body. It is an extremely versatile instrument that can give many different tone variations for playing rock right up to funk. I rate it many times more than a Jazz bass. The bridge pick up on its own is awesome.
7. Hi Is this pedal still for sale? If so how much do you want if collected from Bristol. Regards
8. I had one of these amps about 15 years ago and ran it through a Peavey 4 x 10 cab. It produces a warm sound with much more head room compared to a transister amp of the same power. The tone controls are a little akward because they seem to affect the frequency bands of the adjoining tone controls. These amps were the poor man's equivalent of Marshalls or Hiwatts in the 70's, but were in fact very well made. If you like a warm and slightly muddy valve sound then this is a very good amp for bass at a fraction of the cost of an Ampeg. I would recommend it.
