  1. Cheers for this - like I said, it's been perfect for me, but all the info we have is useful!
  2. Bit more info on the history of the amp; t's a Mk 1, modified to be a Mk 2, and then sold. It failed shortly after the sale and was returned to the seller who then advertised it as needing repairing. It sold as such for £200, and treated to a full repair by a pro, before being traded with me. In the time since I have had it, I've used it at low volumes in my studio, but, never gigged it. Based on this, would be happy to listen to offers etc if you are interested - otherwise, I'll probably put it on eBay over the weekend.
  3. In my 'Start of the Year Kit Consolidation,' I'm offering this glorious head for sale/trades. I got it during the summer in a trade - the value in the listing when I traded it was £450, so thats what I'm offering it for - seems very reasonable based on what these have sold for on here/ebay/reverb and what a similar option would cost. Bit of history as it's been upgraded to MK2 specs - The original owner had it upgraded to Mk II specs by Mike @ MPAV services in Bolton, based on he schematic from Daren @ Traynor. It was later sold, and unfortunately It failed shortly after the sale and was returned to the seller who then advertised it as needing repairing. It sold as such for £200, and treated to a full repair/once over by Mike Still (Legend to those in the know) before being traded with me. In the time since I have had it, I've used it at low, recording volumes in my studio, but, never gigged it. It is an absolute monster - both in looks, sounds and weight. It does everything a big, old skool valve amp does, and has plenty of volume for any situation. But, realistically, I'm not going to gig with it, and I have recently acquired some very nice bits of kit that let me get the sound for recording purposes. It has literally sat in my studio since I purchased it - has been used in this time - but not out of my studio. Comes complete with a cover. Ideally looking at a sale - but, open to trades - hit me up with options! Because of all those valves, I don't think postage is a realistic option. I'm in Devon - have a gig in London on Saturday 17th so would be happy to meet anyone on the M4 or A303 routes... Alternatively, I could package it very securely, but, arranging of a courier would be completely down to you. Any questions etc, please let me know!
  4. Now on eBay - so please get in touch if you are interested, or with trade offers etc.
  5. Now on eBay - someone get in touch with offers, trades, interest etc.
  6. GONE Further to my ad for the Aguilar cab - putting this awesome head up as a feeler. I'd prefer to get a new cab, and keep the head, but, am willing to scope out what people have and see if there is any interest in the whole rig, or bits etc. Would also be willing to trade as per my cab thread - for a amp/cab/head/rig/bass... I purchased it brand new before Christmas, and it is still as new - gigged twice, and sat in my studio the rest of the time. I'm struggling to find current prices, but Gear 4 Music have a nearly new one for £859, with an RRP of £1099, so I hope my price seems fair? If not, but you are interested, let me know! Pics later but it is as new.
  7. GONE Got this before Christmas from the forum, and its great, but, just not really clicking with me - not sure why, but, my loss your gain etc. Happy to sell for what I paid - so £330 shipped, or £310 collected/meet up. Im in South Devon. Definitely happy to listen to trade offers - ideally cabs/amps, but also basses, and am happy to add/receive money for something I fancy! The cab is in very good condition and in full working order, sounds amazing and is plenty loud. The padded cover is pretty worn in places but does the job, and has protected the cab well. Have borrowed pics and descp from the for sale thread I got them from. specs: One 12" cast frame woofer, 56 oz. magnet Phenolic tweeter with integral phase plug Custom crossover with variable tweeter control One Neutrik Speakon and two 1/4" inputs Deluxe Strap Handle, Rubber Feet, 13 ply Baltic Birch 3 year limited Warranty Power Handling: 300 watts RMS Frequency Response: 42 Hz - 16 kHz Sensitivity: 95 dB 1W 1M Impedance: 8 ohms Dimensions: 14" H, 19" W, 19" D Weight: 45 lbs
  8. Sorry all - not really been on since the site updated. Will sort pics tomorrow, and yes I am in Devon but will include shipping in the price. Alex
  9. This is still available, but due to unforseen circumstances I wont be able to get it till nearer to the end of November I'm afraid. Still happy to listen to trade and cash offers, but, you need to bear that in mind. Alex.
  10. Just updated with a new video/lesson/transcription - the awesome In My Mind by The Amazons, as well as some more transcriptions!
  11. Bump - more offers, but nothing sorted yet... with trades, would be hoping for a minimum of £250 cash, unless its something that really catches my fancy. Will look at ebay in the next day or 2, so let me know if you are interested.
  12. And replied - quite a few enquiries (sale and trade) but nothing sorted yet...
  13. GONE Putting this awesome little combo up as a feeler. With a new pedalboard, I'm pretty much exclusively going straight into the PA, and using IEMs. Therefore, this little beast isn't getting the use it deserves. Super light and portable, genuinely giggable. In awesome condition, with genuine Mark World wedge and padded cover. Thinking £500 shipped... But, would also consider a trade with cash my way for another amp/head/can that I could maybe use for rehearsals, bigger gigs, studio - or grabs my attention. Likewise with basses - but would want some cash my way.
  14. Cheers dand666 - got plenty more jazz transcriptions that will be going up over the coming months!
  15. Hi all, Just a quick post - I've updated my website recently, and have started putting transcriptions that I have done either for songs I've had to learn, songs students want to learn, or thing I've been working on. I also am doing a weekly play along video/lesson/transcription - mainly of tunes that I'm transcribing anyway for students/gigs. It's all free, and you can check them.out on my website; www.alexjbass.com Cheers!
  16. Patch leads gone... Post office run tomorrow... Offers on any other bits?
