1. So you think a second 115? It doesnt sound bad, it's just not got the kick im after, maybe that will go away from a second cab!
2. It's a bit..... Like something's missing..
3. haha, im probably not going to understand what it means even if someone explains it, so ill cut to the chase, im playing through a 500 watt head with a 115 cab, do i get the 210, the 212 or the 410 to partner it? and why? thanks EDIT; or another 115 maybe?
4. hi all, might be a silly question! looking at cabs, specifically a 4x10 and a 2x10 the 4x10 is 51Hz to 18Hz and the 2x10 is 53Hz to 18Hz, whats the difference :s
5. Really need this gone now, no space at all! Throw me some offers!
6. I'm not sure to be honest, I haven't got another cable to test, the buzzing is very faint now, so maybe that's just how it's meant to be :s
7. Right, your post made me realise, I used an old cable at first, so I switched back, and the problem has gone!! How can 2 brand spanking cables create such a horrible noise and an old one fixes it?? There's still a faint buzzing however...?
8. My new head and cab arrived from soundslive this morning, gallien Krueger mb500 and 115mbe cab, and apart from the lack of speakon cable, all was well! Nipped down to maplin picked up a cable and back home, plugged in and I was in heaven! Then the bad bit.... Went down and made myself some food, came back up to move the new amp into its corner it will be sitting, plugged my fx pedals into it, turned it on and OH MY GOD! An awful buzzing noise, it's so loud that you can actually feel the air being thrown out of the thing, as soon as you plug a bass in it minimises the noise again (although still present) I've tried unplugging all pedals, moving the amp back.... And still there!! Hope this made some sense to somebody!! Help me please!! Edit: it's more of a hum when the bass is unplugged, then a buzz when it's plugged in
9. Possible trade, offer me, anything BUT amps, unless it's a gallien Krueger cabinet
10. Mb500 just ordered will post pics tomorrow!
11. Once again thanks for your replies. I was pretty much sold on this until I spotted the mb500, so final question (I promise) what are the pros and cons of the mb500 vs rb700? As I'm really unsure which to go for!!
12. As you might have geussed, I'm fairly new to the bass world, only been playing a year or so, traditionally Im a guitarist, a friend said this amp will be overkill and to go for the 300 watt variant?
13. So if weight doesn't bother me, go for the rb? Is there a reason the other one is more expensive?
14. What are the differences between the two mate?
I'm going for the MB500 deal, I need to be able to carry the head around with me
15. Thanks everyone for your help, don't really know of any big music stores around my area so probably won't be able to test so I'll end up buying and hoping! I'm sure all will be fine as it seems like everyone rates them fairly highly! We will see! Thanks again Jack
16. I'm so confused! Why does the website say 480+50 watts :s
