Scary thing going on with Warwick prices ...all prices really....I was bidding for this same Thumb on ebay and (sorry jenzuwin!) if I hadnt pitched in my bid he'd have got it for £770, so under £800.
I agree it was a great price. But there is a buyers market out there.
I'm sorry ...and jealous... jenzuwin! Hope she's a good 'un. -
PMd with fingers crossed

Bought Paul's yammy 800 - he delivered it in person. It is a bad ass geetar that needs some TLC.
My 4 year old thinks its fab .... and hasnt noticed that the 57 reissue fender has sudenly disappeared.
Success!
Pleasure to do business with.

Wish I had the cash for this - but have a bump.

B U M P
for a great amp at bargain price -
Just to add confusion to the mix, I have just opted for the MB Fusion. Builds on the MB 500 adding an all tube preamp (Three 12AX7's) and it really growls.

What Ohmmmmmmmage is the 115 please?

Missed this thread entirely - but had to comment on the silver gloves being worn in the 123 vid. Can it be true that Michael Jackson ripped off Mud? By the way, glad I missed this thread first time round cos I couldn't afford the beautiful Wal on offer without selling the kids (...hmmm).
And MoJoke, nobody tried to take the piss cos there is great respect. -
It's a "there's some dark love out there for this amp" BUMP.

It's all about timing. Glad you got the speakers and left the bargain for someone else this time! Cheers -
Bought this a couple of months ago from Truckstop for £100 plus £20 to deliver (...plus a cup of tea and a biscuit to keep Truckstop happy). Saw one went on feeBay for £165 few weks ago - I'm happy to get what I paid....or maybe trade for someone's old/interesting but unused bass? I'm curious. What's out there?
It did me fine cos I'm just starting with bass guitar and needed urgent amplification!
New amp ordered, so this something-of-a-cult desirable amp can move on.
Everything works - it goes down to 2 Ohms so there is great potential for 700 noisy watts here.

Prefer if someone can collect from Clapham in south London.I can sort out couriers if needs be - it's heavy though, about 23k, so is going to cost. -
Lovely. What you going for after this?
-
I love these. They are like a nuclear reactor.
I like Bill Bryson too. Unfortunately, I can just about afford the book... -
I'm tuning in Nick - thanks for responding to my wanted ad ...and selling that lovely Mesa 1x15 Roadready cab!
Cheers

Alex safely delivered the Peavey Firebass 700 I bought from him.
We drank a cup of tea together and Alex enjoyed a biscuit.
It was rather nice doing business, sir.
Cheers,

You can have my last amp! Crate BT220. It's so good it's been gathering dust at school for about six months now
Actually to be fair it's not too bad, especially for a first combo - but can't wait for my Matamp!

Even a Crate can be used as a cocktail cabinet.... -

I won't be downgrading I'll just have more amps
[/quote]
There is always that option. Wish I had kept every amp I ever owned... -
Is there any logic to this - people will want to downgrade to the new B500 and sell their GT200 ..... to me!
Or is this just wishful thinking?
