1. Hello Chaps, I've just bought a Markbass LMK head and sourced the proper MB bag to house it in. Very proudly, I was on my covers gig this even with the bag verlcroed on to the top of my cab; the amp cut out right on key chance of Livin' on a Prayer (literally)! Thinking it was a cable or something, and plugging directly to the amp I found there was still no noise. I switched off the amp whist the guys finished the track.... when I turned it back on it worked again. It then cut out a few minutes later, off and the on did the trick. The drummer the told me he'd seen the same thing happen to another bass player with the amp in the bag.... Has any one else had a simular experience? Do the MB heads need to be taken out of the bag? I'm hoping theres not a fault with the amp.... Be a shame to always have to take it out the bag because it sits so nicely in there on top of cabs. Any help or advice would be most appreciated! Cheers JAMES
2. Hi All, Does any one have any experience or in fact even own the Markbass 4 x 6 cab which is out? I'm looking for something which is firstly very portable, but will sound meaty with the electric bass and a tight /under control with the double? Cheers JAMES
3.
is this for sale or swap mate? If its for sale then you have to stick a price on it. Any pics?
Sorry - only just seen this post. Its up for both... I'd sell it for abot £750. The regular 2 x10 get about £650.... Cheers JAMES

5. Hi all, I'm thinking of revamping my rig and going back to separate heads and cabs for more flexibility. I've got a 102p 2 x 10 Markbass combo with a LMK head. This was never a standard model and had to be ordered from Italy... I'm open to offers on this... Cheers JAMES

7. Hi All, There was a problem with Ebay (obviously they claim it wasn't their fault!) but Walter is now back up there... Cheers JAMES
8. Will deinfitely have a good look at the American Forum.... They aren't that well know over here... but I know a select bunch of players are in to them. I'm sure there wouldnt be a problem getting an English amp repairer to have a look at it. I've had my mesa boogie service in the uk before!
You take it to a tech and get it fixed. That's what normal people do. I guess there's always the option of praying to the Flying Spaghetti Monster that it will work again.
9. Hi All, I'm currently selling a Walter Woods Amp up on Ebay... Obviously, these are wonderful handmade American amps. I estimate mine was made sometime in the '80s. I'm getting asked a lot of questions which i'm not 100% of the answer for... does anybody either have any detailed info (like an old catalogue or manual) or perhaps know of a good website? google isn't throwing too much up! I've just used the amp over the years and some of the exact specs i don't know. Any help would be most appreciated... Thank you JAMES

14. Hi All again... Just had it pointed out to me that it looks like the bass could do with a bit of a polish! I can assure you it doesn't - its just my primitive photography skills. Its the flash bouncing back of the lacquer i think... Anyway here are a few more pics which should give a better a bit of a closer look. Price wise... i'm looking for £1500. Any question please of course drop me a line... Cheers JAMES
15. very true - just got to remember to talk the strap-locks off!
16. Rather than one central strap button it has one on the top and one on the bottom. Gives a little more flexibility and changes the height quickly depending on what style your playing. Useful bit of design...
17. Hi all, My name is James. I kinda new to bass forums but a mate of mind recommended bass chat.... so i thought i'd check it out! Anyway.... I have a beautiful 5 string Sei Flamboyant bass for sale made by Martin Peterson at the Gallery in Camden London. I am very reluctant to part with this stunning instrument however, due to the perils of a new mortgage i'm having to down size. The bass was custom built by Martin in 2003. It is in excellent condition and there is nothing you wouldn't expect to find on a working instrument. Here is the spec: • 34" Scale • 7 piece neck - maple and wenge • 24 frets • Black ABM Hardware • John East E-pro deluxe circuit - This is one of the most musical sounding circuits i have ever used. For more info please check out: http://www.east-uk.com/ The bass is configured with two volume controls but this could easily be changed to a volume / blend configuration. • Kent Armstrong Pickups • Walnut facing - front and back • Bridge - 19mm and nut - 45mm • headed I will try and upload some pix. According to recent reports the lead time to have one these made is about 14 months and i estimate with all the extras on the bass it would cost in the region of £2500 I have seen a couple of simular spec Sei basses on ebay go for up £2000 I am open to any realistic offers... I am based in Herfordshire. Any questions please email me [email protected] or reply to this thread. Looking forward to much more basschatt-ing in dues coarse! Cheers JAMES
