1. Cool! I've got a function in Leicester on the 21st, which isn't miles away. PM me if you're interested. Cheers!
2. Hey! I'm based in Leeds. Although my folks live in Sussex, so I'm down your neck of the woods now and again.
3. The bass has been sold now, sorry to anyone who was holding out for it!
4. Hey Haroldhare, It's reserved for for a buyer at the moment. I'll let you know if they change their mind though!
5. Hi swainsworld, thanks for the offer, but I'm after a sale really. Sorry!
6. Thank mate. I hope you're enjoying your new bass!
7. 06' USA Fender Jazz - Was £650, now £600 The bass has only been gigged once. I had it de-fretted a few years ago, but never used it since, so I've had it restored to it's original condition with the intention of selling it (I tried to sell it as a fretless on here a while ago, but there was no interest). Hopefully it's evident from the photos that a good job has been done re-fretting the instrument. The bass is the type with an S-1 switch and comes with the hard case, strap and that bag of stickers and allen keys that came with the bass. There is one small scuff on the back of the bass that I've highlighted in one of the photos. Collect from Leeds, or I can arrange delivery at an extra cost. Price Drop: £300 Ampeg B2R £150 SOLD http://www.ampeg.com/pdf/B-2R.PDF The head is in good condition. I had the fan replaced at some point a few years back, but have otherwise had no problems with it. 9.
Having seen your pics in the FS section I must say I think the value has been affected quite a bit. The removal has resulted in quite a lot of tang damage and it's beyond having the slots filled with maple etc.... getting it re-fretted will salvage it.
Yer, I think I'm going leave it up there for a couple of weeks and get it re-fretted if there's no interest. With a bit of work it could be a desirable bass as it's in good nick otherwise.
10. This bass started life as a fretted instrument but I had it converted into a fretless a couple of years ago. It sounds great and comes with a hard case, strap, manual, cloth and allen keys. The photos are on flickr as I've exceded my upload quota. http://www.flickr.com/photos/72573697@N06/with/6549495251/ Price is £550 I'd prefer collection as I have no experience mailing basses but I'm sure I could sort out delivery (at an extra cost) if needed.
11. Cheers for the advice guys. I think I'm going to list it at £550 and see what happens. To the market place!
12.
You could always attack it with some sandpaper & give it that "road worn" look, instantly doubling the value of it!
Haha. I think I'm going to try the ''unused'' look first.
13.
As long as the work was professionally done it's not devalued your bass if someone will pay what you want for it, so suck it and see (i.e., list it for sale). If it doesn't sell a refret might be an option, but selling it at a price midway between what you'd like to get (e.g., £600) and your income from the sale following the refret (e.g. £500) might get you a quick sale and save the hassle. C
That seems like a sensible idea!
14. Thanks, interesting reply. Is it worth me posting a picture of the fingerboard?
15. Hi John, If you haven't found anyone yet I'm based in Leeds (most of the time) and I'd be happy to give you a lesson for a reasonable price. PM me if you're interested. Cheers Tom
16. I have an 06 American standard 4 string jazz bass that I had converted into a fretless a couple of years ago. The instrument is in good condition and plays well but I was wondering if you think converting it into a fretless will have devalued it a lot? I was thinking of selling it and I was contemplating having it re-fretted first. Is this a good idea or would I just be wasting my money?
17.
This is right on my doorstep and I would probably have been interested but I've already got a new one arriving tomorrow.
Dang. Close, but no cigar.
