1.
I just bought a Pr10 300 for my BFM Omni10.5, it's quite an improvement over the Beta that was in there...type bump.
Thanks Kenny 1 has now sold so 1 left! Thanks Freddie
 2. Hi, I've been looking at one of these - using an aguilar tonehammer pedal as a pre-amp. Anyone have experience of using this set up and if so was it loud enough? I would be using a genz benz neox 212t for cabbage - crown bridged into 4ohms. Some users on talkbass are saying that its not quite loud enough for some gigs - although not sure if they are using the bridge cable as recommended. Anyhow, not sure whether to go this route or save up some more and get a genz benz streamliner 900. Thanks Freddie
 3.
Post up measurements of the cabs you have, and the specific drivers you have, then we can tell if they are worth messing with.
Thanks Mr Foxen, here are the specs for my current genz cab: http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid=2858&sid=704&cid=96
Specs are here http://www.adamhall....0_W_8_Ohm.html. These are good speakers, best suited to a cab of about 100 litres. The simplest thing to do would be to try them in your cab and if you like the basic sound to build a cab actually designed to go with your speakers. if you think building a cab is beyond you then look for a cab which has a circular port as these are easier to re-tune and it would be best to go for something between 70 and 100l. The Peavey BXBW would be good and you can pick these up for a lot less than a GB cab. (£50-100) You'd probably get £40 for the Black Widow driver on eBay so you'd get a substantial box for probably less than £50. If you decide to go this route I've actually got an old one of these which I'd happily sell empty, though it is up for sale with the original driver at the moment. Ideally I'd put these into a couple of light weight cabs custom designed though and take advantage of these neo speakers.
Thanks Phil, how do I fund out how many litres my cab is? My genz has a tweeter so if the Faital sounds good - as it has a tweeter then I will more than likely get another. The frame size of the Faital is larger than the stock driver so I need the driver hole cut slightly larger. I have somebody who can do it but would you recommend this? Many thanks
 4.
does that include P&P Freddie?
Yes indeed, i have amended post. Thanks
 5.
Its the 8ohm version. This is brand new, un-used still boxed. Neo - very light! Loads of great reviews online and arguably the best 8ohm 15" driver on the market. Looking for £110 inc p&p Cheers Freddie
6. Brand new, un-used still boxed. Neo - very light! Loads of great reviews online and arguably the best 8ohm 15" driver on the market. Standing firm for £105 (inc p&p) Cheers Freddie
 7. Hi all, I have 2 x 15" faital pro 400 (8ohm) drivers and I'm not sure whether to stick one in my current cab (genz benz focus 15" lt) and if it sounds good then purchase another cab (£250 new) and stick the other in, - or wait till a 2nd hand 215 comes up and whack them both in together. Has anyone had direct experience doing a similar thing and if so what were the results and which 215 cab would you recommend? If 215 then ideally with a tweeter, as small as possible and as light as possible. Another option is to find a decent cab builder within the uk where I can supply the drivers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Freddie

 11.
The wattage is no problem. It should fit straight in. You are welcome to bring the cab to me and we can fit it. Please pm me if you want to pop up. Swindon is only an hour ish from me.
Thanks for the kind offer sir, before commiting to anything I wouldnt mind a few opinions on the best possible speaker replacement ie can I go with a neo - type of drivers used by Barefaced or something like that. I'm willing to speand the extra buck on something top quailty if its gonna make a big enough difference.
 12.
Err... mate, you said 'going forward'. You don't work in management do you?
Haha, not at all - but perhaps I have been brainwashed at work.
 13.
I have this... http://basschat.co.u...59#entry1902459
Thanks, would it fit straight in to my cab and although the stock speaker in my Genz Cab is only 300Watts/8ohms would it matter?
 14. Hi all, I would really appreciate some help here. The stock driver in my genz focus 115 cab has started distorting unwantedly. I'm not bothered about getting the standard replacement so am thinking of going with something of higher quality. Here is the Genz Benz Focus Cab: http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid=2858&sid=704&cid=96 Is it possible for me to go purchase one of these and pop it straight in: http://www.lean-business.co.uk/eshop/eminence-kappalite-3015-neo-8ohm-15-450watt-speaker-p-854.html http://www.lean-business.co.uk/eshop/eminence-kappalite-3015lf-neo-8ohm-15-450watt-speaker-p-855.html http://www.lean-business.co.uk/eshop/celestion-bn15400s-8ohm-neo-magnet-bass-guitar-speaker-15-p-548.html Any help appreciated. 15.
I've got a QSC PLX amp available if the OP is still looking for one... and it has the sub-filters! I was hoping to sell it with the Helborg but the Christmas season has wiped out everyone's funds.
Hi mate, how much did you want for it, what is the power at 4ohms and lastly the weight? Cheers
 16. Cheers guys, much appreciated. Freddie
 17. Hi, I have recently purchased an aguilar tonehammer preamp pedal which i currently power through a Hartke Lh500. I'm thinking of getting a seperate power amp as well but not entirely sure whats good and whats not. Preferably around 800 watts and light weight? Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Freddie
 18. Thanks guys, really appreciate it. Freddie
 19. I would really appreciate somebodys help here. I have blown the tweeter in my genz benz focus lt 15", just stopped working mid rehearsal. Its a compression tweeter, 8ohms, 50 watts. Genz havent resonded to an email i sent over a week ago and im getting desperate. Is there anywhere in the uk i can source one from? Im not bothered about having the original in there and am quite tempted to put a better one in. Could i stick an 8ohm 75 or 100 watt one in there instead? What else do i have to look for other than right shape/ screw holes etc? Any help would be appreciated muchly. Thanks in advance Freddie
