Hi I am in near Swindon, Wiltshire, SN4 Cheers Owen -
I have had this combo for 15 years and played it for about 10 hours. One day I turned it on, the electricity tripped out and it stopped working. It has just sat there ever since. On the positive side it is one of the very originals, from when they were just a small company, serial number 50. Genuine valve preamp with Phillips 12AX7 in there. Cost me £900 unbelievably. It's not 100% solid state though - there's one Philips long plate 12ax7 in there for the pre amp

I've had this for 11 years now and used it for about 11 hours! The thing is as soon as I turn it on it trips out the electric in the house. I took it to a mate's and it did the same thing. An email to Ashdown later and they say it could be the output transformer - they don't have one but could have one made - ££££ ??? Just wondering what this might normally cost and would it be worth it? It is an original 1998, pre commercialism, combo and in a way would seem a crying shame to bin it. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts. Cheers Owen
