Whats wrong with a 4 string with a penis shaped headstock, I'd have thought it showed superiority
It is a great bass though -
If only I wasn't saving for an Amp !

Is there something wrong with the Glockenklang preamp, or do you just not like it?
Its just id like some more control over the sound im getting, nothings wrong with them though -
Is it possible to buy the J retro and instead of putting it in the standard jazz plate, replace it and stick it in those holes ?
Complete Novice Btw -
Hi guys
I've recently swapped my Marcus Miller for a Sandberg pantherand wanted to are there any other preamps out there that would work with the model ? It's not a standard jazz type of thing if you know what I mean. I'll try and post it up on here so you can take a look. Don't want to sell it off 'cos I actually like it !
That's what the config looks like
Any ideas ?
Cheers -
Does It Guarantee that you'll play like Scott ?
-
So has this been De-Fretted or is that another line of VM Squiers ? Had the fretted version of this, was brilliant.
-
I've played this one, sounds a beast
! If I had the cash, would've nabbed this by now

Just an update, don't know if I've mentioned before
There's an app on the iTunes store called 'Reading Rhythm' it has actually helped quite a bit from when I first posted this topic. You can practice the exercise and then take the test on it. If there are notes that you have missed or rests, it shows you where you went wrong. Also there's over 1000 exercises ranging from reading whole notes, quarter notes etc etc. Also has rests, ties etc etc. Really great for the money. Also looks great on the iPad -

Are there any programs which allow you to make backing tracks without being too complex ?

Hi
I'm at that moment where I've started to Solo, thing is I cannot find any decent backing tracks !
I've looked around on Youtube and sorts of places like that and only found a handful of tracks I actually like.
Most will be your typical blues, heavy metal, rock ... Not really into it.
Does anyone know where I can find some Soul, Funk, that sorta style of backing tracks other than youtube ?
Cheers -

In that case, find a teacher who will tell you if you are playing it right or not.
Oh yeah I do ask my teacher but when I do want to practice in my own time kinda gets hard not having them around if you get what I mean? -
Thanks for all the replies
I guess it's really practicing isnt it
It's just that sometimes when i do practice i doubt myself about having the correct rhythm if you get me -
Hi
I've started to read music and I cannot get my head around the rests and value of notes. Recognising them on the stave I can do its just rythms.
For Example
When Im reading if I find out that in the next bar theres a quaver rest, I kind of over think the rest and it just becomes a crotchet rest and the peices timing is totally out
If it makes sense, i know all the values of each rest note length etc Its just when you put it together is where i fall apart
any tips/advice ?
cheers
Shuker Custom Jazz 4-SOLD pending the usual.
