  1. Hi, I am selling this 'as new' version 2 Sire 5 String Fretless V7 in Alder and Antique White. It was only ever used as a back up with minimal use and is now surplus to requirements.

Full website description below but it is in excellent condition with the merest of marks and still has the covering to the scratchplate.

  2. Bought from a BC'er about 3 years ago but not used much so I am moving it on.

A beautiful funk machine refinished in Aztec Gold. I haven't got the original listing details but I remember it is a 90's Japan body refinished by Dave Wilson.

I have replaced the PU's with Ironstone but will include the PU's that came with it (which sounded pretty good) although I don't know the brand:

The Ironstone Jazz Bass pickups are Ironstone’s first Bass pickup design. They feature classic 7.3K bridge and 7.1K Ohm neck resistances for rich, but crisp vintage tones. The classic construction also includes:
    • Alnico V vintage tone magnets
    • Fibre flat work bobbins
    • Waxed cloth connecting cable

The Jazz Bass pickups are available as individual bridge, or neck, as well as a set. The set only, is also available in a rugged foam-lined presentation case (see photos). A comprehensive mounting kit accompanies all purchases.

I also had the bridge reset slightly and cleaned up the neck which is silky smooth.

The neck itself is an Allparts licensed model with Rosewood board and Walnut facing on the headstock. (Apparently cost about £400 itself)

I am including a Spider hard case in the sale which has served me well and still does the job.

Strung with Bass Center Stadium Elites 40-100.

Something a little different and sounds as good as it looks.

    Bad bits:

Some belt rash on the back, a paint chip to the body near the truss rod adjuster and another chip by the jack input.

Some slight smudges to the varnish on the headstock and some wear marks on back of headstock.

All these can be seen in the pictures and the Bass is priced accordingly, just trying to be honest.

Pickup and try out welcome in Poole once lockdown is over.

Can courier at cost in a box or meet up somewhere.

    Thanks

  6. Selling 4 x Hipshot Ultralite Tuners, the licensed versions not USA.

These were included in the sale with a P Bass I bought recently although they weren't fitted at the time but the seller had been using them on the Bass.

They are stamped HC5.A and HC5.B and I know the 'C' means Cloverleaf. I have contacted Hipshot to find out what the rest means but for the moment have no idea.

(update, Hipshot say it's just the tool stamp)

The Ferrule nut requires a 19mm spanner so these are 1/2 inch Tuners for a 5/8 inch headstock hole. I have attached a .pdf from the Hipshot website with dimensions.

The finish is Satin/Chrome with slight marks on the Cloverleaf. These are £13 each at Bass Direct plus £4 shipping (£56 for a set of 4)

£35 including postage to mainland UK or collect from Poole, Dorset for £30.

  7. Selling this trusty TC Electronic K-210 8 ohm 400 watt Bass cab. Its been of great service so is a bit cosmetically challenged but nothing too bad. Visibly fine, no chunks out of it and just the usual scuffs and scrapes, nice and portable with a great punch. I'm selling it cheap as I disconnected the tweeter after I though it started breaking up slightly, hardly noticeable but I really do prefer it without as they tend to be too harsh in my opinion. The cab has plenty of top end anyway without the tweeter so it suits me but you can easily slip the wires back into the slots and you may be quite happy with it. I have several different cab options so this is now surplus to requirements and taking up space but a very usable light weight cab with plenty of life left in it. These cabs were about £300 new.

    Cab spec here:

    https://www.andertons.co.uk/bass-dept/bass-amps/bass-amp-cabs/tc-electronic-k-210-2-x10-bass-cabinet

Welcome to try it out in Poole, collection only. Thanks.

  8. For sale is this bitza Fretless Jazz Bass. The body is 70's Columbus with original pu's etc all working ok.

It's had a few knocks and bangs over the years so would make a great relic project J Bass.

Scratchplate has been badly cut around control plate. Another bridge fitted as the old one was seized up.

The Rosewood fingerboard neck is from a later 90's? Hohner Precision Fretless Bass.

Plays well and sounds great, currently with flats, and a cheap Bass for trying out Fretless.

I can throw in a cheap soft case.

Collection from Poole or can courier at cost.

    No trades please.

    Thanks.

  9. I am reluctantly selling my gorgeous Sandberg California TM5 in Gold High Gloss, Rosewood with Block inlays.

It's only a few months old and looks virtually as new, only one small dink on the back that I can see.

    Very light for a 5'er only 9lbs, 4.1kg.

Only selling this as I have another spec Sandberg 5 on it's way this week and 2 other Sandbergs.

It looks and plays the nuts and comes with 2 scratchplates, the original one being White Pearl but I preferred the Tort.

Sandberg quality padded soft case and Allen keys. Active/Passive 2 band eq, coil tap on the Humbucker.

Try out welcome in Poole, can courier at cost in soft case and box.

No trades, just looking to sell.

    thanks

Here's the Sandberg blurb on a similar model with different finish:

Sandberg basses are fast-becoming a favourite here at PMT, and with good reason. Just look at this Sandberg California TM5 Goldburst Block Inlays for instance: a hand-finished marvel of a 5-string bass, with a familiar body shape, gorgeous Goldburst finish, and a powerfully versatile electronics system. What's not to love?

Sandberg California TM5 Highgloss Goldburst Highlights

    • Premium-grade, 5-String bass guitar
    • Single Coil and Humbucker (TM) pickup configuration, with Sandberg Active/Passive preamp
    • Comfortable to play - suitable for every playstyle
    • Chrome hardware, plexi pickguard and white pearl block inlays make for classy finishing touches
    • Includes Sandberg deluxe padded gig bag

    Premium-Quality 5-String Bass

Renowned the world over for their incredible craftsmanship, Sandberg's range of basses are simply phenomenal.

With this particular Sandberg California TM5 you get a hand-built bass guitar with a high gloss Goldburst finish, gold hardware, TM pickup configuration, maple neck and fingerboard, block inlays, and even a gig bag to keep it safe.

    Delano Pickups

These Delano pickups in a TM (Single Coil/Humbucker) configuration give you a vast array of tones to play around with.

With the T-series neck single coil you get a reconstruction of those vintage Jazz Bass pickups from the 1960's and 1970's. This pickup grants you a nice blend of woody low-mid growls and warm articulate midrange as well as that trademark funky "twang" that they were renowned for.

Then there's the awesome M series bridge humbucker.  This pickup is based heavily around the popular Stingray style humbucker, with a very wide string sensing area to pick up as much tonal colour as possible.

You get that fat and grinding tone when in humbucker mode, but at the flick of a switch can be converted into a bright and clear sounding single-coil instead.  With a warm bass and low-mid response, and extra voice on the mids, as well as a bright percussive top end, this pickup is as versatile as you could want or need it to be.

    Versatile Electronics

The preamp circuitry on the California TM5 is simply perfect for the modern bassplayer.  What initially looks like a standard setup has a clever little surprise in store, in the shape of a push/pull Volume control knob that allows you to set the preamp to Active or Passive.

Next to the Volume control you have the Balance control, which acts as a nice pickup selector "Blend" option where you can determine the level of each pickup in the mix (centre position has both pickups running at 100%, or turn the control in the direction of the pickup you want to be at the forefront to make it so).

The Treble control allows you to either boost the Treble or cut the tone, which works even in passive mode!

Finally there's the Bass control, which works in the same way as the Treble control (without the passive cut) but for your low-end frequencies.  Exciting stuff!
