Relisting this original 1975 Fender Jazz Bass with natural wear on a Walnut finish, Maple board and Pearl block inlays. All original including the case except for 4 intonation screws on the bridge. A few small scuffs and dings on the body, neck and headstock as you would expect but is otherwise in good condition. There is also some lacquer checking in the body finish. All electronics and hardware are in good working order. Great tone and plenty of punch, plays very well with a straight neck. It is one of the heavy ones at 11lbs 5oz / 5.13 kg, not everyones cup of tea but I feel it is priced accordingly. It has the Serial number:663139. The pots all date to mid-75, Nut width: 38.6 mm. Depth: 21.6 mm. Pickup DC resistance, neck 7k, bridge 7.1k. It has a logo of 'The Shadows' applied to the headstock which I cannot find any info on except that in the previous listing there was an idea that it may have once belonged to Jet Harris but there is no evidence to support that. I haven't tried to remove it. Any try try out welcome in Poole. Collection or meet up. Thanks.

> Two Types of Distortion / Blend Control
The MARK VINTAGE PRE offers two types of distortion (that you can select via footswitch). The amount of drive tone, ranging from crunchy overdrive to aggressive distortion, is controlled by the DRIVE pot. The BLEND control allows to mix the DRIVE tone with the CLEAN signal of the tube preamp. Adding a bit of distortion during a studio recording gives a 'gorgeous' bass sound perfectly cutting in the mix; this is one of the tricks often used by professionals during studio recording.

The BOOST switch allows you to boost your signal level to +6 dB, to instantly get more headroom whenever you need it, for example it helps you stand out while taking a solo.

UPDATE: I've had the original pickups checked out and they are in fact ok and measuring 11.34 ohms. I will be fitting them back in asap. 

For sale is this P Bass in original case. Sunburst with maple neck, 9.8 lbs. Serial no 634512 dating it 1975, pots date coded 1976.

The original pickups have just been checked out (and refitted) and measure 11.34ohms. Stamp on base of pups looks like 0575.

Usual wear and tear due to age and some nice natural crazing to the varnish.

Just an update, Bass was looked at last week by a knowledgable orchestral player who gave it a good inspection inside and out and said repairs had been done ok.

For sale is this as new, hardly used 12", 400 watt, 8 ohm, tilt back cab with adjustable tweeter, only selling as now surplus to requirements.

Old and well used 3/4 DB around 100 years old, flatback, possibly German, has had plenty of repairs including neck joint but all solid and stable.
