I used to have an ESP LTD B-1004se stringed BEAD. It had a 34 to 36.25 scale length. I really prefer the playability of the Ibanez EHB .
I tried to play similar on the EHB

First EHB second Cirrus .

I recorded the ehb and a peavey cirrus. They sound similar I think.

I just got mine! I really like it.
I had to lower the pickups and change the string height. I know the dealer and he didn't do anything to is setup wise. He knows I do my own setups.
The only thing I would change is the locking output jack. I would rather have a regular one.
Maybe I'll change the pickups later on. Right now I don't think it's necessary.

Hello!
I just did a mod to my Swedish made Jazz bass.
It used to have passive volume and a Stellartone - tone knob. Now it has an East J-tone. Passive/active with a push pull on the tone knob. Stacked volume/blend knob. Stacked bass/trebble knob.
Really easy installation!
Before
Nice padded box!
I just cut the old control plate out.
Just screw the wires to the terminals
Played it the day after with the band. Great!!!

Would you ship the preamp to Sweden?
Best regards

I'm considering getting a LWA500 for my home rig.
-
I have had it for a couple of years now. I had an Ashdown Little Giant, a Markbass F1, and an Augilar Tone hammer before it.
The Ashdown was a Joke!, more like a toy.
The Auguilar was ok, but I really didn't like it. Well built though!
The Markbass was good, but the Warwick is louder and I really like the layout of the controls better.
Love the mute switches!
I run it through a TKS 2128 cab. It has 2 12" and one 8" speakers. It's really really loud even when the volume knob is at 10 o'clock.
No one is talking about the LWA head, so maybe I got the only good one?
Anyone?

I just bought this at an online auction. I got a good price. I can't find any reviews or opinions on the bass online. Any mim Dimension owners here?
I think it plays great.
It seems to be out of stock everywhere in Europe. Seems to discontinued at the Fender website.
Here are the specs (from amazon)[list]

Thanks for the reply
It's a really good deal, so I'll get it without seeing it
I have a fancy Mono gigbag for two basses. Since I almost never use it, I figure I'll sell it and get something cheaper. -
Peavey gigbag for two basses. I found one on sale at a local peavey supplier in sweden. No picture in the ad.
I can't find any info on the internet about it. Has anyone seen/ used one? -

These look lovely, especially your black one. I love a Jazz and these have enough little tweaks and differences to seem like altogether different instruments. The necks look great on both, will have to keep an eye on these guys!

The neck is thicker than my other basses. I compared it to my Stingray 5. -

Is that a euphemism?
Very nice-looking basses.

One more Lighthouse bass at my house!
I get to keep it for a while and decide if I'm going to buy it.

I've heard that the volume is a bit 'on off' on these and while they play like butter it can get a bit messy.
(Sorry I'll get me coat)
Looks seriously nice, I love the neck! Glad you're happy with it.

Sorry I think i'm too swedish for the first joke. Didn't get it. The butter part I got -

I'm not wild about the flat black finish, it's a bit too utilitarian/'stealthy' for my liking. I like exotic wood finishes (yeah yeah, cue the 'coffee table' comments). But that's just an aesthetic preference -- looks like a superb instrument.

I ALMOST got this instead. I was too slow. It sold before i could make up my mind.

I was Lucky. The Black bass turned up on the second hand market. -
The previous owner had a soft touch. I pluck harder, so I'll add a hipshot string retainer to get more pressure on the A-string saddle. That is only thing I will change.

Not a lot though... it's got a second coil on the bridge pickup and enhanced upper fret access which makes the body look a little awkward IMO. Other than that it's just a J-Bass copy.

Good thing I am the one owning it then ;)I love it, it's one of the best playing basses I ever tried. I owned Laklands, Zons, G&ls and many other high end basses.

I just got a used non graphite Status Energy 5. It's been modded with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp.
Should I do anything to protect the finish where the clear coat has been worn off?
The bass is really easy to play. A bit on the heavy side though
