For sale only is my much loved Sadowsky Metro RV5. It's the classic combination of sunburst/tortoiseshell. Has been my main workhorse for the last 8 years - whilst not abused, and meticulously looked after/set up it does have various dings to the body, as one would expect. I will post detailed photos asap - an will take reasonable offers as something else has popped up that I have always wanted! As new cab and bag from Acoustic Image - brilliant for amplifying double bass, guitar, piano. Retails new at over £850 for cab and bag, with the pound weak only likely to go up! The series four heads are removable and you can swap between the different cabs, this would be perfect for anyone who owns the larger cab but can't face the schlep! Photos to follow shortly!

Bump! This has just come back from Laurence Dixon complete with fingerboard plane, new tailpiece, touch up late to varnish and new set of Belcantos! Can be viewed in West End most evenings.... Will consider trades for electrics, microphones, bows - essentially anything that takes up less space!

Up for sale is a lovely late 19th century Mittenwald double bass maintained and set up by Laurence Dixon - valued at 7k. Will sell for 5k ono. It has a very focused, direct and very loud sound - and had been used unamplified in many period big bands. I have owned it for the last five years, where it has mainly been kept in various west end pits, most recently Gypsy at the Savoy Theatre. I currently have 3 double basses and am moving house - no room at all!! Would prefer cash and am willing to negotiate, however would consider partial trades for old fenders, pre eb stingrays or an ampeg b15. I am based in south London, if anybody fancies trying it out - the kettle is always on! Will come with good quality padded case, realist pickup, leather now quiver and a choice of strings (currently set up with innovation polychrome trial set...)
