Update, I've managed to get myself a peavey T-40 for £350 on eBay.. I haven't read a bad review yet..

Thanks for all the comments guys, I have ordered an RC-3 and some jack leads from Thomann and it totals up to about £200. I have £400 for a bass and iv'e played an Ibanez ATK300 and loved everything about it though i do love the tone of a Fender Jazz.

Hello fellow Basschatters! I have £600 to purchase some new gear with. I would like a Boss RC-3 (with power supply and a few jacks) which leaves me with roughly £400. ( I only have one bass at the moment. A Hohner Arbor precision bass. Question! Should I spend more of the money on a bass and purchase the pedal at a later date? Question!! If so which bass should I get? Help a learning bass player on his way! 4 strings and fretted maple necks/fingerboards are a favourite but if you have any suggestions please let me know!

Hi, I picked one of these up from a local music shop, I think the previous owned swapped the bridge out, Amazing bass, especially for the £100 I paid for it. I was looking to get a Fender MIM precision but don't see much point any more.. Anyway.. This is the bass!
