  1. TRB- 5P Groove 1.mp3 TRB-5P Groove 2.mp3 Up for sale is this fantastic example of the early made in Japan Yamaha TRB-5P with original hard case. The instrument sounds superb, plays wonderfully and is in excellent condition for its age. SPECS Figured Maple Body with Thru-neck Construction, the piezo pickups used on the TRB models use individual bi-morphous piezo elements for each string, all built into a specially designed bridge which is machined from solid brass. Because piezo pickups directly pick up the resonance of the instrument body, the body itself must be made from the finest woods and designed to deliver rich, deep tone. The neck-thru design of these basses affords the best possible foundation for this amazing sound. 2. I agree with you about subtle differences between identical models, the thing is the difference isn't subtle between the 5p and 6p, the 6p is so much more responsive and focused, even unplugged. Thanks for your reply.
  3. Yes they're both like the ones above, excellent points! I guess maybe those subtle differences really add up, the 6p always gets complimented for great tone whereas the 5p doesn't , heard quite a few over the years and always the same. Thanks for your reply iKay
  4. Hi guys, I have both a TRB6p and TRB5p from the early 90's, my question is why do these basses sound so different acoustically? The specs state that they are built using exactly the same materials yet the 6p has so much more focus and dynamic response than the 5p. I understand that plugged in the difference in pickups is a factor by unplugged its very clear there is a difference. It just the fact that the 6p has more mass? any answers appreciated.
  5. I sold 2 Epifani cabinets to Mikkel and throughout the process he was very easy to deal with and paid on time. Very happy to do business again.
