Very nice. I had a Bravewood Strat before and it was a lovely instrument. Good like the sale
-
That is some hard case! good luck with the sale
-
Oh cool sounds original then
I would have preferred a black one but this one popped up at the right time and was the right price -
Not orginal I would say. I have had a Power Special as well and they both have black covers

I have one of these in the lovely candy apple/raspberry red. Great basses. I suspect mine will be going black at some point. Looks like you got a good deal

Back from NYC. Only managed to go to Sam Ash and Rudys. Its been a few years since I have been to a music store and i was a little little disappointed with both to be honest. Both shops only had a tiny selection of basses Nothing really grabbed my fancy and I found the service in Sam Ash to be really poor. I think ill just stick to buying stuff off of BC
There was much walking to be done I feel like we covered a couple of hundred miles by foot. Also all of the taxi drivers were lunatics. Interesting places but I'm not sure I am in any rush to head back there. -
I have a Jazz Special that I put Wizards in. The new cover fitted on the Jazz pick up but I had to use the original on the P pick up as the new ones were a tiny bit to big.

That used to be mine before the mods were done. Great bass I wish I never sold it :-) . Check the wanted section someone was looking for one in there.

Cool thank you all

Hi all,
I am heading off to New York for a short break next weekend and am looking for recommendations for good guitar shops possible ones stocking vintage guitars. Any one got any ideas or things to check out while I am there -
Nooooo why did i click on this Great looking bass.

Ill catch a load of flak for this but I just dont like Kennedy's voice.

Fixed.
Axel makes fans wait for hours to see him before being bottled off stage. Why would Slash want to be part of that?
[/quote]
Haha I do have to agree. But someone else singing guns songs just isnt the same. -
Now if only Slash and Axl can bury the hatchet. Closest I got to seeing the original line up was a Velvet revolver show. Duff is one of my top 5 favourite bass players

I had a statellite Les Paul copy and it really was the biggest pile for crap ever. Not even or firewood
-
The biggest red flag is that the fret board is too long No over hang on the JV series or any of the RI series
-
Thanks guys. I would keep it however i find the neck too big and much prefer a Jazz bass neck. It is a shame as it is a great sounding and playing guitar. The neck feels fantastic, just to big for me

Liking and affording old Fenders are two different things Great looking guitar.

My Jap made 57 RI which is now sadly in the for sale section

I had a sliver series Tele and it was okay. I think the non squier fenders are much better put together and a better way to go.

Bump, Updated OP with link for my feedback thread
Japanese Fender Prices
in Bass Guitars

I think that it is about 600 quid over priced. The bass isnt a 62 Ri. The serial number is on the head stock which means normal jazz bass and not a resissue. Basswood body. Bad ass with roller saddles? never seen one like that. No hard case only gig bag.
I would walk away from that.
