These are awesome basses! A very rare gem from Gibson as I recall they only made a total of 400 of these in 2013 in 3 colours (Black, Red, Sunburst) before they do what they always do and discontinue good stuff. 

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a couple which have become my go to bass as they are easily one of the best basses I have ever played and I love the power and versatility.... plus they look cool and are standard scale unlike the EBs of the 60's.

Just had a quick look round at how prices vary for these. 

Some dealers price them around the £5.5k mark whereas some other well known dealers want £7k. I'd like to think they are this price so they have lots of room to discount even at around the £5.5k mark  

I'd be interested to see how much they go for at Bass Direct or Thomann if they stock it.

Yeah, I was not impressed. made no effort at all to sell it, Didn't even advertise it on their website until I flagged it with them. Anyway, big lesson learnt!

Good shout! Bass Bros I have spoken to and seem good. I had tried a certain Bass specialist in London but they made no effort to sell it and when I collected it after 6 weeks it had a scratch on it.

Yeah, I cant understand why this hasn't sold. Its in such good condition and new they are about a grand more! Maybe its because the ads been on here for a while? I have had a few time wasters and just listed it on Reverb so fingers crossed!

🙂 Ha, Thank you!  I have a few people interested and sending messages so hopefully it will be sold soon. Its a great bass, just not for me but someone will get a bargain.

Yeah they are amazing quality and all 3 colours are killer! Mine doesn't seem to be getting the love it deserves for some reason.

Totally agree, I have sold and bought on there but so many scammers and time wasters to weed through but the right person is there and will get a bargain! Also on Ebay and Reverb but thats a last resort 🙂

I am surprised it hasn't got more love on BC, most of the interest is coming from groups on Facebook but I guess thats how it is now.

Yeah Its strange. Got a couple of people interested at he moment but we'll see. I think its a lot of bass for the money

I don't like signature basses but that's a beauty! It is just missing the binding but even without it looks amazing.

I have one of these myself and its awesome. I've seen them sell for a higher price then that too so someone will get a treat when they buy this rare beauty! (I had read it was 400 of all 3 colours rather then per colour so may want to check that)

What a beauty and a bargain at that price!

I have one from the Custom Shop in Sonic Blue and the build quality is off the charts! Pick ups can be pretty hot but this is a hell of a lot of bass for the money and anyone who is looking for a decent Fender Jazz should look at one of these USA Models. Its keeping it in the Leo Fender family after all!
