  1. I’ve use various cables over the years and honestly I couldn’t tell a difference in sound. How long they last however is a very different story. As other people have said those Planet Waves cables never last long. The best ones I’ve found for me are Klotz; had the same few jack cables for years and they never go wrong 👍

The JMJ is an absolutely outstanding bass 😀

Love the size of these beauties, perfect for playing whilst sat on the sofa 😀

I was literally doing just that. My JMJ bought from here arrived at lunchtime today. Such a lovely instrument.
    Enjoy your new bass @Folkesy

  3. Bought a JMJ Mustang from Nick this week and super chuffed with it. Nick was really helpful and the bass was very well packed and delivery bang on time. Great bass and a lovely chap 👌

  4. Hi there.
I tried out a bunch of small amps for a little home practice amp including both the ones you mentioned and went for a Micromark 801 from Wunjo’s. I found the PJB a bit flat and lifeless-sounding compared to the Markbass which had a lovely open and natural tone.
Have since used it on a few little upright bass jazz gigs when I’ve had to go on the tube too and it’s great.
Love it with my p-bass; I’d definitely recommend one 👍

EBS Multicomp for me,simple to use,3 different modes, works very well & sounds great.

+1 for the EBS Multicomp. I tried a stack of compressors before I picked this one. Use it mainly for evening out pick playing, especially when palm-muting. Sounds fat and lovely 👌

  6. Definitely worth talking to a luthier about changing the neck profile. Martin Peterson at the Gallery would be my first port of call. Also sometimes the Warwick bolt-on necks have overly thick fingerboards. Martin took a lot off the fingerboard of my old FNA Jazzman and regretted it with slimmer frets and suddenly the beck felt amazing. And was less bowed...

  7. It's a lovely bass. Just doesn't really suit the kind of work I do these days. Plus I have my Infinity 5 string will will never leave me!!

I've got one of these. It sings beautifully. The clarity of the notes is better than any other bass I've had.

If I'd lost mine, this would be gone!

  8. I'd imagine so. My knowledge comes unstuck as soon as people start talking about impedance but I think problems only occur when driving cabs that are too small with an overly powerful amp.
Hopefully someone a bit more tech savvy will chime in with the specifics but I'd say daisy-chaining would work a treat. I used to daisy chain my two SL112's out of my old Warwick LWA100 with no issues. Got a TH500 now so don't have to do that anymore...
