  1. Would be something I would have loved to do, I have the pedals very similar to what was originally used in genesis and masses of equipment that would suite the bill nicely, big fan of genesis I saw them in 2007 as I am only 20 this is the only chance I got and am grade 5 standard with lots of gigging experience, but with the distances to practice it would cost way too much in transport :(

  2. This bass was bought for me as a Christmas present 3 years ago. When it was bought it was just a body with the neck, fretboard and frets that was it. I then asked Stuart at Electro Music to make me a even better version of the already top of the range Tanglewood bass, So Stuart fitted me a Seymour Duncan Bass Line active pickup (American) and all British pots I forget which ones but there were not cheap about £45 just for the pots. Then I left Stuart to decide on the tuners and bridge, he put on a really chunky bridge (I’ve never seen one as big or dense on any other bass so far) and the tuners are amazing, extremely smooth and holds tune better than any other guitars I own (which includes a headless status). Then it was finished off with Marshall Knobs and a high quality nut.
Aa fresh Duracell was also put in only a month ago. This bass has been well looked after with regular oiling of the fretboard and body, polishing the neck and regular changing of strings.
There is a slight bit of damage to the bass but is only superficial this does not affect sound quality at all and can be blended back in easily with dark furniture wax or so I have heard.

Canadian Maple neck thru with mahogany splicing’s

I got Warwick straplocks on my Jazzman (I had to buy the end pins independently for them as they did not come with the bass and at first seemed hard to fit properly). I have schaller on my other warwick which I was used to and was a bit skeptical myself about the Warwick ones as I was just unaccustomed (I'm sure I saw that same video you did...and the ball bearing thing did not sit right with me) and was gonna change to schallers. But I've not had any problem and I don't feel insecure/worried using them anymore and I'm keeping them on the bass. The centre pin extended keeps the balls protruded so that it secures the strap end to the bass part. If I was still worried, trust me I would have changed them a long time ago. Anyways, bump for an awesome bass ;)
[/quote] cheers for reply mate, I had a set of schallers on my jazz and they jest fell to bits so I didn't want to use them again so I will give the Warwick ones a try and see how I get on with them

  4. does this bass have the warwick straplocks with it, I cant tell from the pictures Also has anybody ever had a problem with them as there is a guitarist on youtube complaining about them saying that his guitar is now damaged due to failure in the staplocks. could be that he didn't install them right but im not sure it sounds very unlike warwick for anything they make to go wrong.

  5. sounds like you have a very good set-up to me. plus its never about the gear you have its about the person behind it, i have seen some drummers have a top of the line kit, cymbals and hardware but was no better than a grade 4 drummer i would say, my drummer on the other hand has only just recently got a semi pro level gretsch kit equivalent to a pearl export and has just taken his grade 8 and his 5 theory and is going on to Leeds college of music at the age of 17 and is probably the best drummer i have ever played with. the point behind this story is give a beginner a 3000 pound bass and you have noise but give a seasoned pro a 300 pound Bass and as long as its in tune you will have music. and welcome back its nice to see more bassist.
