I bought some rubber half "balls" which can be mounted to stop the basses bashing against the wall.
I'll see if I can find the link.
Like the look of those.
Thanks

So, I’m finally getting around to putting some basses on wall hangers. Only issue is that the wall is unfinished/rough and I’m wondering how to protect the body from scratches? Please don’t recommend wallpaper.🤔

So 130 K for a jazz bass that wasn't built until after Jacos death... Whatever the seller is on must be pretty strong!
More like 130k for a copy of a bass played by someone famous? I’m sure a jazz music fan or bass fanboy will buy it. I don’t get the point of these signature basses. You can pay £1M for this and you still won’t play like Jaco, but if you gave jaco some cheapo instrument out of a catalogue he’d still sound good. The funks in the fingers!

The E looks like it's floating!
Yes, in his description he mentions tone?

Another thing - why does his ParcelForce48 service cost £18.50 when you can send a full size/weight bass box using that service for £8 drop off or £9.35 collected?
Even the postage has been ‘improved’

That’s probably the secret to getting ‘that tone’ everyone was asking for?

People forget how eBay really bite your donkey with their fees these days?
I usually only rub my thighs about Wal’s, but boy that’s a beautiful thing!

As above. Be confident. Stay off your headphones. Be alert. You’ll be fine. Leave the Rolex and Moncler at home!

It’s almost as though someone who’s never seen a guitar before was given a kit of parts and no instructions?

Oh my days! You could drive a bus under those strings, and the ‘D’ is still buzzing?

Looks like it comes with a free plectrum.
No, that’s setting the string height on the treble side!

I think the pick guard needs another ‘try’ to properly match up with the body mods

Yikes!

Have you actually measured the neck relief to see how out of spec it is?

No clue. Absolutely no idea where these came from or why I still have them.
I haven't owned a Jazz in a very long time, probably the thick end of ten years.
I can tell you nothing about them, NOTHING you hear?
You'd best assume that they came from a 1962 stack-knob owned by John Entwistle until he sold it to Chris Squire. Or something.
£3 to cover P&P and they're yours.
Hi Jack, I’ll have a punt on these if that’s ok. How do you want paying?

Hey Andy, love the pics! But once she hits 13yrs, all hell is gonna break loose! Trust me! My two boys were nothing in comparison! Fighting, crashing cars and competing over everything is nothing compared to the psychological torture of teenage daughters!
Enjoy the ride?😊

Serial would suggest 1989-90, but I thought 80's MIJ Fenders had the serial number on the heel, not the neckplate and a vintage style trussrod adjuster. Also, usually have FENDER in caps on the neckplate.
The seller has nicely 'sidestepped' dating anything or committing to what is or isn't genuine?

How much of this do we feel is 'original'?

I got mine from an ebay seller with the catchy name of 'wen5764'. I was a bit sceptical but it turned up and was good quality.
Thanks

Can anyone recommend a seller

I watched a few of Guy’s videos and found them entertaining, especially the anecdotes. I’m not sure he’s in competition with Pino as much as he feels he is? Really surprised he got the MJ gig, not that Guy isn’t up to the job of course. I’m also amazed at some of his output. Plus I’m sure he’s writing skills and affable nature help. Sad to hear that he had a hard time on this forum, that’s very disappointing.
I wish that the amazing John Giblin would do a ‘lockdown licks’ channel. His back catalogue is truly epic!

The placement of the "contoured body" decal is right strange! Looking at online images it is correct for these basses but I wonder what the story is as to how it ended up there!
The neck refinish by Wal looks interesting?
