Hmmm! after a quick 10 minute blast over the Christmas Hols it was re-buried in the under stairs cupboard......Doh!
Will do but, could take a while lol!

Assuming/hoping this is a "minter", I may have something of interest to you???? Get your photos up buddy!
Lol............ from someone who's only just got the hang of photobucket!

3. I bought this from Holiday Music back in '86...lol! was a couple of years old had a service and a new speaker used it for about 3 months, ever since it has lived in various cupboards, under stairs etc!
Works absolutely fine, 150w mossfet amp, 1 x 12 speaker, excellent condition, vinyl has no rips, just a couple of cracks in rubber /plastic corners and a scuff underneath almost mint IMO, has original cover and H&H sales paper. Unfortunately only suitable for Bass players with undamaged spines as they used lead-lined oak back then! Has this any value in this day and age? Internal redecoration and outright blackmail from my better half begs this question!!!!

4. After almost 30 years of 4 strings, I finally took the plunge 3 years ago and boy do I regret not doing this earlier!!!
I like many played around with tunings etc for specific situations, however the versatility of a 5'er is incredible once you get used to it.....voted Essential!
N/B '93 Precision Lyte (As New!)
'86 Wilkes Percussive Fretless now both surplus to requirements (only four strings!) pm if interested?

After taking some advice from far more experienced members I've dropped the price significantly to a slightly more sensible price of £400.

I shouldn't have trusted my heart when I valued it!!

Ahh, fair point as they don't seem to float everyones boat.....but they do mine! I think they are worth something approaching your original price especially if mint, however after a haggle I actually paid £400 on the nose for mine. I would be prepared to trade to a greater value rather than £400.......if you are interested, I'll pm you either way buddy!

6.
wow memories. my second bass was one of these, i loved it.
Thanks dude, believe me if I'd not become totally obsessed with 5 strings literally a few weeks after buying this it would not be up for sale, it stunned me how good it is!

7. '93 Fender Precision Lyte : built in the Japanese Factory for home market only, ever so slightly metallic candy apple red, AS NEW condition, J&P pups, active, gold hardware, super fast action, loads of tones, and doesn't knacker your shoulder! I took a blind punt on this 4 years ago directly from Japan, it arrived virtually unplayed (almost zero fret wear) with original strings & factory set-up! consequently a fresh set of strings & set up later and I was reluctant to play it as it's a museum piece! Soon after I tried 5 strings and never looked back! hasn't been played since I took the photo's, what a waste! £400 + postage (apologies to those who wanted this before, but I have now discovered packing skills and mastered parcel force on-line lol!) O.K I've seen three of these sell on ebay with buckle rash & general wear for £370+ and this one is Mint! so £375.00 plus postage is as low as I'll go! I have a BB605 and a totally mint Hartke Hydrive 115 c Combo on another post, wherby I would consider a trade with a similar condition Jazz or Jazz style 5'ver, obviously it may take one or two basses to make up the value, but there's an offer??? Sold to Renos, Much appreciated and good luck with your Band. Gazzbass

8.
Guys many thanks for the positive comments. I've had some enquiries but so far nothing definite. To be honest I'm more than happy to keep it, but it does seem a shame leaving it unplayed.
Hi Purplebob,
Showing the world my "newbieness" I thought you had your Wilkes sold buddy, as I would'nt have mentioned mine! a thousand apologies!!!

9.
I'm surprised this has lasted the day . Great price - don't really need it , or I would .

Free bump .
If any of you guys are interested I will be selling a black version circa '86 hopefully next week, had it from new, very slightly road worn ( few marks, body only) as it was my main instument back in the late'80's still plays beautifully, custom spec, Ebony quarter lined fingerboard, and has original case!

10.
I really don't know how Yamaha can get away with gold hardware. It always tends to look a little naff on other brands I find.
You can trust John, he's a good guy and knows his onions! Have dealt with him in the past and he's very straightforward and communicates very well.

No offence meant, but you have to ask don't you. I agree re the gold hardware, however I have a mint Jap Fender Precision Lyte deluxe in a kind of metallic candy apple red which looks fantastic.....up for sale shortly (fallen out of love with 4 strings!)

11. Hi Johngh,
I'm very interested in the BB605, the piccy's look very promising so I trust there are no issues: buzzes, nicks, dings etc? However Derby is a little too far north for me the furthest I travel in that direction is March, Wisbech, Peterborough.....at a push! Therefore would you reconsider posting, maybe a box & packing from a local music shop and let me know the total cost?

Kind Regards
