1. Did you go on a Saturday by any chance, as that's a real bad day to go. It sounds as if you won't return anyway, but you ought to go on a quiet weekday, when staff are generally less rude and uptight.

If you're serious about buying something, i can recommend Peter Cookes in Hanwell, West London (a quick train ride from Paddington). You can browse their stock online and ask to put some aside for you to try on your visit. I've made two considerable purchases from them over the years.

2. Good on him for getting a decent price for it (more than i thought it could get). Dealers are dealers and they were trying it on. They knew they could sell it for loads more, if targeted at the right sellers. He was right to refuse their offers.

3. Bit of an oddity here...

ZVex Lo-Fi Loop Junky, WITHDRAWN

This is an analog looper pedal, which records up to 20 secs (one loop only). No analog to digital conversion here, just pure analog storage.
It also features a vibrato effect (two knobs on the right 'speed & depth') which can be mixed in to make playback sound like a warped record for example, or very fast vibrato. A 'safe' switch allows you to not accidentally overwrite a loop. The loop will remain saved even unplugged or when you change a battery.

An in-depth description can be found here http://zvex.com/junky.html

4. Pharaoh Amps Echo Jr.

Voiced like an analog delay. It does the crazy 'Karma Police' ending oscillation, on max repeats. No box, unfortunately. £55 posted (UK)

5. Way Huge Swollen Pickle MK II Fuzz

Excellent fuzz with bags of low end. Built like a tank, blue LED, helpful quick-change battery draw, excellent condition, superb on both guitar and bass and very tweakable. Comes with all original contents and unopened badges.

6. Laney Cub 10 (10w) valve guitar amp, with bespoke, padded cream and black trim, vinyl cover.
Home use only. These are around £175 new online and the cover was £35. So it's a considerable saving. I'm just trying to cut down on amps as i need the space, otherwise i'd keep this Cub for its different flavour.

Spec includes:

Class A/B
Controls: Gain, Tone, Volume
Hi & Lo inputs
2 x 12AX7s Pre-Amp valves
2 x 6V6GT's Power Section
10" Celestion Driver
Extension speaker socket on the rear panel

[s]£SOLD cash upon pick up please, central London.[/s]

This amp loves pedals, in particular dirt. I say this because the preamp doesn't fart out when hit with considerable dirt. OD and Fuzz sound thick through it and you can get a great Black Keys vibe. It's quite a ballsy amp for a little guy. It has a bit more bass than you might expect. It's very light and makes a great 'grab and go' amp.

Some YT demos, if you're interested.

7. For Sale or trade. All pedals in great condition, no velcro attached.

I would prefer meeting in Liverpool St/Old Street/London Bridge areas (depending on time of day), but will post if neccessary. Cash (in person) or Paypal (+ fees) or Bank transfer.

Tradewise i'm, really looking for guitar pedals, in similar, good, boxed condition:

Lovepedal Amp 50
Subdecay Liquid Sunshine
ZVex Box of Rock
ZVex Distortron
Cornell 1st Fuzz

EHX English Muff'n with its original power supply. £75.
Great valve OD pedal that can warm up a SS amp/combo, add a touch of break-up, or deliver full-on grind. Superb with passive Jazz and Precision basses.
It has two Electro-Harmonix 12AY7 valves. Swap 12AX7s for more gain/distortion, or 12AU7s for less gain/distortion.

Boss FBM-1 '59 Bassman Pedal. £70

8. Hello,

I was hoping someone could help me out. I've been fiddling with Garageband '11, in particular with the guitar amps. I'm used to Pro Tools at work and home, so it's still new to me.

Anyway, when i select an amp set up, i have some mystery reverb, which isn't coming from the amp sim (i turn the amp-sim knob all the way off and the mystery reverb is still there). I don't think it's the master track either as i can switch it on and off, with no difference. I'm connected to my mac through an Avid Mbox btw, which i am also monitoring through via the headphone out. I've checked the mbox on-board DSP and that's not it. Any help appreciated. It's really confusing me and driving me a bit nuts and i have to get rid of it. Thank you.

EDIT: problem solved :)

9. What about this?

Ashdown's take on an Ampeg B-15. Quite pricey.
